Drove to stockport last Saturday, from leeds. to view a car, an appointment had been pre arranged so I was gob- smacked when told the car wasn't there ! I knew It was as i'd seen it as we drove in, after they realised they had the car I was shown to it, filthy inside and out and wouldn't start due to a flat battery! the staff were clueless but I gave them the benefit of doubt and let them value my car as a trade in...

received a phone call when driving home with a trade in price, was assured the car would be spotless if I paid for it to be transferred to York, ok I thought, the £200 is re-fundable

Six days later I travelled to York by appointment to find the car in a worse state than it was in stockport !

wasn't remotely interested after this, took me an absolute age to get my £200 credited back ! ... looked at another car on the way home from York, nicely prepared and got offered £750 more for my car!

The moral behind the story ...STAY WELL CLEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the moment of agreement to picking up the car, Quicks were completely clueless on how to treat customers, as my finance was with another company, they knew they could not make any more money from me, they completely ignored my calls. They confirmed a pick up date, but could not live up to this as they did not return paperwork in time. When they did send the invoice it had an additional £98 VEHICLE STATUS CHECK listed. I had never once been informed of this. When i asked what this was for, they stated it included a HPI check (which, by the way, is £19 online)also it checked for any police markers on the vehicle (which by they way the HPI check also does......for £19). If you do decide to buy a car from here, make sure you question the vehicle status check, as they stated afterwards that it was company policy to charge this amount. Refuse to pay it, do it yourself for £70 cheaper. I did and they had to refund my cash. A useless organisation with no understanding of how to build customer relations in the long term.

My wife and I have been looking for an XK8 and from Autotrader a car advertsied in Hull looked great and at the right price. We phoned up Sunday morning, were able to put a reserve on the car and then travelled from Northamptonshire to Hull. It took 3 hours but the directions were good although we were travel-tired when we arrived.

As soon as we arrived we were treated excellently and given a coffee to unwind whilst the car was brought around. They looked after us and made our experience comfortable and brilliant. We test drove the car which was excellently presented and just right. This was a great customer experience and Carla deserves credit for this.

In fact, subsequently we actually bought a car from somewhere else because my wife had a different colour preference in the end - but for that we would have had this vehicle.

I will happily recommend Quciks and the Hull dealer to my friends and colleagues.

My partner bought me an Audi TT from Quicks of Lincoln for Christmas as a surprise. My partner collected the car from Lincoln which was a very slick and easy process, the TT was transferred from Stoke to Lincoln, all preperation had been completed before viewed. Team members involved were very friendly and helpful. Kevin the collection specialist was excellent he explained all paperwork and documentation. The whole process from start to finish was exactly as Quicks advertise "Car buying the way it should be" I love the car and I would definately buy from Quicks again.
