Took £165 And Got Nothing

An iPod was purchased which did not say it was recycled, without normal packaging and with no guarantee so it was sent back to the address they gave me. I was told this had to be done quickly or it would be too late.

Ebay Resolution Centre then contacted me with an address to send it back but it had already been sent.

The seller maintains that he has not received it.

It was sent as a First Class signed for item.

The case is now closed and I am out of pocket by £165 and do not even have the second-hand iPod.

The company is a not straight and should tell people the items are not new. More importantly they should not be stealing money off people.

Deserves A 0* Rating

Absolutely terrible!! My FULLY working phone, was valued at £40. I waited more than 4 weeks for payment...only to receive a cheque for £10!!! Due to 'a small scratch on the back cover' really?! What Gadget Recycling company, can not overcome a small scratch...to the back of a fully working mobile phone?! After requesting that my phone was returned to me, I was told 'this item has already been recycled. Sorru'. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone!!!

Rip Off Merchant!

I sent to i-phones: One wasn't working and I said this when I acquired the quote. When I sent it in, they said it wasn't working and didn't pay anything. The other was a 4S in good condition, having been kept in a case. They offered me £25 less than their original quote, saying that there was some damage. I needed the money and accepted the quote. Then they said that they had a problem with Pay Pal and would I either accept a cheque or provide them with bank details (NO CHANCE ON THE LATTER!)I eventually received a cheque two and a half weeks after their receipt of the phone. So by the time the cheque had cleared it was over 3 weeks. I was extremely thankful that the cheque cleared! Looking at the other reviews, I suspect that this company will not stay in business for long.

Reduced Offer Price Because Of Minimal To No Scratches

Offered £82 for a 3 year old iPhone 4. But after "inspection" only gave £67.20. They found scratches which I don't believe we're there. And considering it's a 3 year old phone it is bound to have some

Rip Off

Quoted £210 for two iPhone 4's and when they received it - we were offered £60 for both due to 'damage' - which is rubbish! NOW they will not return them to me as I did not respond within the 3 days (away on holiday for the weekend). What a rip off - stay away from this awful company.

Should Be Renamed Bermuda Triangle !!!!

Posted iPhone 5 off to them over 2 weeks ago. No email confirmation that its arrived (although it was signed for 3 days after it was posted to them). Have emailed them, tried their live chat help but no one available and when tried to call machine tells me their opening times and adds that if I'm calling with in these times then there is no one free to take my call and I should try to email them!!!!! They have my phone....at a loss where to go from here.

I have used this process before but other companies. I chose this one as they offered the most cash for my phone. Better to stick with better known companies and accept less cash in future I guess.

Ripoff Merchants Extraordinaire!

Sent them an Iphone 4s, they'd valued it at £150. Once they had received it, they revalued it at £120 due to "some noticeable wear and tear. Scratches on front/back". Yeah, right. A phone that's always had a screen protector and case. It had no marks on it when it left here. Rather than allow them to make even 1p from my phone I paid to get it back. I'll put it on ebay and at least I can govern the price up to a point. The problem is - I need the phone sent back!!! Almost 2 weeks and no sign of it yet.

Dunno who previous reviewers were going to "complain" to? Me, I'll use the courts if I need to. Keeping someone else's property against their will is called theft.

Subsequently got the phone back after paying the return postage. Looked OK to me! Sold it on ebay for £190. That's clearly the way to do it and stop these bottom feeders from living off our money. Kelvin1950.

Gadgettrader - Please Do Not Be So Unfortunate As

GadgetTrader - Please do not be so unfortunate as to use this website. Company promised my £231 for my iPhone 5. I used a recycle your phone compare site and these were offering the most. Unfortunately this is probably how they have reeled people in in the past. The phone had been used for a total of 1 day and had absolutely no marks on it whatsoever.

The website states that payment is within 24 hours of receiving your phone and that you are kept up to date via email throughout the entire process. No one emailed me throughout the process and i had to call them several times for a day before anyone even picked up the phone. Nobody replies to emails at all either. Initially they claimed they didn't even have the phone until i proved Royal Mail had delivered it.

After a week i got an email saying unfortunately we can only offer £150 (more than £80 less than i was promised) due to general wear and tear. This claim was laughable as the phone had been used for one day.

Stay away from these guys.

No Hassles

Sold my old laptop which i no longer needed. Was impressed with the box i received to send it back and was assured all data would be destroyed. Payment was a little longer than expected. Still, thats Royal Mail for you!

Do Not Use They Will Take Your Item For Nothing

I am furious as I have had an awful experience with gadgets4everyone. I was turning in my old iPhone 4 which they valued at £100. I have had experience with similar companies so I knew that the value they would suggest on receiving the phone would be lower but I didn't not expect the following: I received an email saying my phone was worth £0 (this is a year old phone in a very good state), i then of course opted to have it returned to me and duly paid the £5 postaged they asked for. I then three or four days later received the following email 'The records of this phone/device have been checked on the CheckMEND database (www.checkmend.com) of lost and stolen property records as part of our legal obligation to perform due diligence on all property that we handle. We are required by law to quarantine the above phone/device for 28 days. If the loss/stolen records on this phone/device are not cleared before (28 days), we will be required by law to take the item of property and dispose of it accordingly.'

My phone was bought at the carphone warehouse and in my possesion the whole year that I had it. THis is a complete joke, instead of £100 I have lost a phone and am £5. take my advice and do not use.
