Fakelog..

They need to instantly remove model pics that are recycled by scammers over and over.It is onerous in reporting fakers-the burden of proof rests on YOU,the reporter.Makes you wonder whose side netlog is on... netlog doesnt seem to take an active in reporting the fakers to Police or any other agency to throw the swines in Gaol.

Moderators are hit and miss.Sometimes you have to report a faker. It seems they might have forgotten to delete them.Moderators cant seem to work out whose fake and whose real, either. They do seem to be better tho,by degrees.

When I Signed Up To Netlog It Had A Different Name

When I signed up to Netlog it had a different name - can't remember what that was now - and it seemed like a pretty good cross between a blog and a social interaction site. It seems to have tacitly degenerated into little more than a dating site for the desperate; the 'Shout' box messages are either invitations to private MSN chats (basically the nearest any of these muppets can get to a relationship) or demonstrations of truly frightening illiteracy posted by people who are equally frightening to look at.

For all of its faults Facebook (with its instant chat and facility to post messages/photos/videos etc) is vastly superior.

Nor is it safe for underage minors who adults can add as friends and comment on their pictures etc it's disgusting, yet ceop nor netlog do not careinfact when i reported to ceop netlog admin lied to ceop stating that adults cannot go onto minors profiles unless they are using a fake profile as a minor - this is simply not true at all you only have to click a tab to gain temporary access to that underage profile then if you wish to communicate you have to ad them as a friend - myself as well as a number of friends have reported these profiles for ther interactions with adults to try and make it a safer site for minors yet even today i went on a mans profile who was 47 who had a large number of minors on his friendlist ranging from 13 - 15, so went on them to report the profiles themselves and to see what other men had aded them as friends - men aged from their 40's into thier 50's were commenting on thier pictures - the site should be shut down as a danger to underage minors etc and given a large number of pads have been found from that site arranging to meet minors etc - the american profiles for underages and american adults ae even worse for it

I totally agree with you. It is a dating site covered by the mask of a social network. It has many security flaws. Not recommended for people who are truly looking for a safe social network. Not very appropriate for married people.

A Great Idea Spoiled By Lack Of Active Moderation.

A great idea spoiled by lack of active moderation.

There is a code of conduct but it isnt applied strictly across the board. Pictures are not moderated before being uploaded so some content is unsuitable for posting.

Its unique point and the crux of a lot of its problems is the 'shout box' a good idea in principle but abused by the usual element you find on such sites. Those that manipulate and abuse people online as some kind of social outlet and activity.

If they tighten up the rules and permantly block abusive users and tighten settings for members blacklisted, ie no further communication on any profile or in any group nor can you see the shouts from a person once you blacklist them, it has postential to be a great site. Poor moderation and lack of firm rules lets it down.
