I was about to be scammed by a man over an apartment in Berlin - found him on this site - he'd claimed to have the SAME apartment, same back story, with 2 other properties - one in Norway and one in France. Thank goodness I found him reported here or I would have been out a lot of money.

I found ScamWarners when I received a job offer by email. Something didn't seem right about the job offer, so I Googled the email address that it came from and the first entry that came up was a link to the forum at ScamWarners.

The post at ScamWarners confirmed what I thought about the job, that it was a scam. The poster in the ScamWarners forum explained what the scam was (a fake cheque scam) and what would have happened had I accepted the job and undertaken the tasks that were involved in the job.

I offer my heartfelt thanks to the owners and members of ScamWarners, they have saved me many 1,000s of $ and a lot of hassle and possible criminal charges.
