Poss-Ability is still a new site, so there are not many posting members at the moment, but as I have said, I am sure this will change in time. This site is free to use and well worth a look. The staff are helpful and friendly and deal with all enquires effectively. They will source information for you if you are having a problem in a specific area.

I would say they are a lot less patronising than other sites, and they have a very positive outlook. I noticed both the people who run the site have disabilities themselves, so they kind of get where you are coming from. They are not too radical either. None of this chip-on their shoulder rubbish because they have a disability and the world owes them something. They seem fairly unbiased people who will talk about problems faced by disabled people, like finding work, but don't bemoan their lot too much.

They actively encourage people with all kinds of disabilities to do basically most things that anybody else does. I noticed one of the owners who is a paraplegic goes paragliding! That doesn't mean the whole site is ra ra go get 'em, but they do focus on making the most of what you can. They review adaptive technology and have a good information section on things, including benefits and concessions that make life a little easier.

Overall I am a big fan of this site, as you can tell, especially as it is free with no spam and no pop-ups. They have never tried to sell me anything either! I would like the forums to be a little more active, but the more people like you and me who join and leave the odd post or two, then I think it will soon take off. It is great to see such a positive disability related site!
