I joined this site in 2008 and was initially impressed with the way it was run. I suggested their diary feature be made interactive so members could comment and talk and read what everyone was writing. This was gratefully received and implemented. I organised the first meeting of members at a Xmas Party in December 2008 which was hugely successful, for which the site thanked me. Since then, there have been many more successful meets.

However, the administration appeared to change in 2009 and the service suffered. If any diary or comment was not to their liking, the member's contribution was deleted or, in my case on many occasions, the profile was deleted and the member blocked. This has happened to countless people. Some men who were deleted did not receive their subscription back for the service they paid for in advance as the Administration NEVER replies to e-mails or telephone calls.

There is a lack of fairness and scam profiles are common. One recently was admitted to and is still in place whereas other honest members have been deleted for no reason.

What makes it worse are the offensive comments that are allowed and that stay on for days... here is an example. This was allowed on my diary for over 24 hours.

I like the look of your face you are very pretty for a white woman. I cannot send email to you as cost money so I write on here. I have little money I am 50 I live in nice street corner it has nice view of shop I would like you to come live with me and the wife I do not know her name. I let you sleep in my corner it has old food in this is what you call bed and break fest in England yes? I speak good English as this helps me to take my bombs over on plane this is my job as you would call in England. You will have to pay be to be my wife and we can have lots of children then they can take bombs over on plane for me I like to smuggle drugs in my spare time I get lot of money If I come back. You will meet me at my corner tomorrow at noon and we can be married. I come to little coffee shop down road to speak to you so now I have chosen you. You have to come now! When we get back to Indian with your money I will trade you to a man for two camels. Then you will work for other man I look forward to meeting you

I am so disgusted and cannot believe the double, corrupted standards and a lack of understanding and tolerance on there.

There used to be a sense of fun on there but not now... it just isn’t working. It's become boring and I would advise people to give UK Dating/Planet Peronals/Girls Go Free/Asda Dating or its many other formats - A WIDE SWERVE.

I have recently been deleted from this site after being a contributor for several years. I broke none of the rules at any time and was a popular contributor.

The site administrators apparently are on record as saying they always answer emails To set the record straight --THEY DO NOT. They have ignored mine, apart from the ones in which I indicated there was a problem on their site, but any entreaties since asking why I had been deleted without warning have been ignored.

The only thing which set this site apart from all the others was the interactive diaries. Now they are virtually dead.

The worst being the illogical way they mete out "punishment" to their members - with everyone too frightened to ask where people have gone. More like a school for truants than an adult dating site.

Quite a similar site to many others, but it does what is says on the tin.

Has the usual video chat, instant messaging and has a lot of members.

£87.50 for 3 months - and they use the catchprase in the title above. Many of the commonly mentioned problems by othe ruser but amongst them:

1) The first email I wrote to someone took 48 hours to be sent because they wanted to police it (nb but not the spamming 'women')

2) They don't stop people writing to you even if never visited your profile - prevalence of dodgy spam email with write to me darling at this hotmail address

3) Constant stream of icebreakers from people that aren't members so got no way of knowing who can reply and who cannot

4) Diary contol - they let women write what they want but I wrote 'fed up with numerous Vera's winking at me' and blocked.

Then some very basic things

5) Search - never remembers your search so have to go through same laborious process every time

6) Searches - had a favourite who is shown as in Bedfordshire - does she come in a search in Beds - does she eck

7) Search results view - you can get the detailed view - on Match shows age, town, there age range - on Elite shows when last on-line, whether looking for fun, serious and how many photos - really useful!

Avoid this site and its relatives like the plague

UKDATING.com is one of several sites owned by the same parent company. Other sites include Girlsgofree, Planetpersonals and Splut. To be a member of one, is to be a member of all.

The site itself is easy to navigate. And excellent feature are member's diaries, which forms a sub-community of its own, with customers encouraged to add their own comments to interesting diaries.

Now the negatives. The staff who administer the site aggressively monitor all webchat and even the personal e-mails sent. Any comment at all construed by them as negative results in immediate banishment from diaries, and even removal from the site. Unfortunately, the member is usually unaware of wrongdoing until the admin staff act. By then it is too late.

The end result is that a service that the customer pays for, is withdrawn without explanation.

In summary, what should be a fantastic site, is utterly ruined by the appalling customer service and near tyrannical administration of the site's best features.
