Very Shady Site
I got the usual immediate response from a few really attractive women immediately after signing up as a free member. Started replying with fancies and favorite adds. Got really suspicious when I stopped receiving attention from these women as soon as I became a paid member. Then I knew the site was a total rip off when I checked my sent items box for the first time and noticed a personal message sent from me to one of the women on the site that I DIDNT EVEN SEND! Rip off

When you are first a member your profile is displayed on the home page and so gains maximum exposure.To continue to get a high gallery placement you need to login regularly.
Since people get messages from many people they may decide that someone else is more suitable and so not continue to contact you. You just need to allow some time to meet your perfect partner.
I suspect your concern about your outbox is simply due to a misunderstanding. Depending upon your settings your ‘currently engaged for chat’ messages may have appeared here. These simply inform a member that you have tried to contact them when they were already engaged in another conversation.
Without your member details it is difficult to investigate thoroughly so please send these to us via the contact-us facilities on our website. We will be pleased to restore your membership.

its a scam site.. none of the girl exist. They send you "someone fancies you" to rope you in.

I joined this site, after a holiday to Brazil. Because I enjoyed Rio so much and I wanted to chat to some Brazil men. Only problem is that most don't understand any English. But they do have a translation service. I did report a couple of Scammers and they deleted them quite quick,the Customer Service answered me within a few hours (not bad). A good site if you are thinking of going to Brazil and want to make some friends before you go...but try and learn a bit of Portuguese !
its a scamm... I am really annoyed that this country is allowed to let other people suck the good life out of this country....
Candice is one of the girls names on the site. An english girl who has a photo of herself (if it is herself) on the London underground). That picture could be anyone.
If I want to make friends... great I can understand that concept but to pretend to have those girls registered is wrong...

If you are considering a Brazilian-based dating site (or more accurately described, introduction site), unfortunately Romantico Brazil aka Romantico Brasil is not a site I would recommend. here are the reasons why, from somebody who purchased a 1-month membership from Oct to Nov 2012:
1. Often there are people on this site not from Brazil -- women from Russia, Africa, USA -- which makes it look like a scam.
2. The "women" from Brazil -- or at least that speak portuguese -- seem to be either prostitutes looking for a next customer, flakes, or perhaps even impostors. It was difficult to get into a conversation with anybody that did not ultimately lead to either money or support sought, or lack of communication. And I tried quite a number, so I was surprised.
3. The lack of quality women. I had one even send me a linkedin (business social networking) invitation after providing my email address.
4. The website itself -- no place to write anything custom other than your nickname.
In short, I suspect this site was set-up as a low-maintenance (for the ower), easy pay website masquerading as something more serious.
Don't waste your money, your time, and most importantly, your emotion on this site.

I agree with whole heartedly. I noticed it was a scam. Scamming is like steeling and its illegal to pass something off as something less than what you display or advertise. Its called the misrepresentation act and as they are in the UK they will be brought to justice. Watch Dog take note.
it is a scam... I found out... they are in poole, dorset and the people are English. They post picture of girl but these girls are just picture which they have sent to them from South America and then put on their web sites. Even the pictures of the girls on the website don't know they are on there... But, they won't get away with it.
I found Romantico Brazil quite good. And chatted to some real Brazil women. And I didn't pay....lots of paid members on there already. It seems like a worldwide site, as well as Brazilian, so quite good.

On further inspection, this site is based in Poole, Dorset...not Recife Brazil as stated on it's website!!!!
Immediately on joining (for free), your inbox gets flooded by very attractive 20-something girls wanting to correspond with you.
Of course you have to pay to do this.
VERY suspicious.
And I suspect the other (glowing) review here is written by one of its employees.
They don't have any employees. The person who runs it is using it as a start up company. Hopefully if it grows he will sell it on. Great let it grow as much as it wants to. The money will be taken under the Proceeds of Crime Act and they/he will be left with nothing....
Scam Site....
Yet another 'unpoliced' scam site, dodgy mother fudgers....
Spurious email addresses, no reply from contact directly to the sites 'admin'....
Tried contacting them but emails bounce back as being non existent....
Based in brasil? Yeah right, more like nigeria...
Totally disagree. I found this site to be very well policed. Easy to report scammers and admin quickly responds and removes. Found lots of gorgeous genuine members in Brazil. Sadly all dating sites are targeted by scammers in Nigeria etc but this site has very high percentage of genuine members. Simple test : Try communicating in Portuguese.

It's a simple site and works a litte like an e-mail
account.
Not complicated. And a good price after inital free
registration.
They also help you with Tours to Brazil to meet your
new love.

No its not... they are in England in the south to be precise. That is where they have there company address. Why would a website thats from Brazil set up a company in the UK. IT in Brazil is three or four times much better than the UK and taxes are the cheapest. Food for thought.
