I joined this site for six months as they had a money back guarantee. Despite reaching out to many members and having a couple of conversations and didn't get to meet a single member. I have success in meeting guys through other sites.

When I asked to get my money back at the end of the six months they said I couldn't because:

a) I'd messaged them a couple of days after the six month mark so i was too late, and

b) because of their auto-renew policy I now owe them payment for the next six months.

They have since sent me chasing emails threatening court action for non payment as per their auto-renew.

I am genuinely in shock. How can they think that's a way to treat people?!?

This isn't a cheap site- it's pricey. It's Sunday evening, January, winter, and yes, there are probably "a lot" of people on the site. But seriously, for what I pay for I don't expect to hit "send" and get the message "Problem Loading Page". BTW, I've only been a member for 2 weeks. Message lost, can't get back onto the website, and perhaps the person I'm trying to get to know/sent message to, will be "lost" forever. The site has been down for over 2 hours (7pm onwards- "prime time") and in the meantime I'm writing my cancellation letter. Crappy server size for lots of money.

the most user-UNFRIENDLY site. Impossible to see photos, hard to search for people.

Absolutely scheiss no introductions, no updates, NOTHING , then had the cheek to automatically bill me again , getting out is a nightmare , avoid this like the plague !!

Just be aware - it's all very well saying in your head that you'll remember the re-activation date for a membership you've paid for...but you won't. This is why most companies send reminders prior to renewal.

Gay Parship does not do this. Hence before you realise it, the subscription has renewed for another month, 3 months, year. Imagine your Car Insurance Company or RAC renewing without reminding you that subscription is due to run out.

This expected level of courtesy is one of the benchmarks for standards in business. This is why I quite simply rate Gay Parship with one star.

By the looks of the site and the reviews I read on here, I expected Parship to be a functional site where you go for the sake of meeting that one special person, sort of like a dating agency, rather than a party. I'm at this stage in life where I'm suitably recovered from past relationship to find that someone, so expected to basically go through the motions and hopefully get someone suitable sent to me. But I am actually having fun dating women on the site, even though things have so far not shaped up like I want (which is to say, I'm not madly in love with anyone yet!). I love getting profiles sent to me and I am really enjoying meeting new women, having been off the scene for a while. It's still early days for me (I joined just after Christmas) but things are really looking up already and it's made me really hopeful.

I am actually quite new to the parship site and I came here to look at reviews but I wanted to give me 2p's worth too. I would just like to add that I wholeheartedly agree with what was said here by some other people. The site is definitely not perfect, though it's yet to crash on me. I am just not wild about the design. That said, it's not like it's my own website. All I care about when using a dating site is whether it is likely to be able to introduce me to the right man. On parship, I have to say that it's looking likely. At the very least, it will expand my social circles, which is already a big deal, as anyone coming out of a long term relationship will tell you. It's definitely above and beyond any other site I've used in terms of the profiles it's been sending me and the dates I've already gone on. Hopefully it will also deliver the goods, then I can give it a 5* review.

This is a good site. It's not perfect by no means, but it offers something the vast majority of the gay sites don't, which is a collection of people who are looking to settle down with someone. I'm willing to put up with a lot just for that alone because I've had so many bad experiences on other websites and also some fun experience that have led to absolutely nothing long term. So sure, the site has frozen on me a few times and like all dating sites you need to read the terms or you get done for surprise membership fees (not happened to me as I still want to be a member, but have happened to me on enough other dating sites for me to be very careful) but it's not like it's the only dating site out there with problems. At least this one seems like it can actually deliver the goods.

I've only started using parship recently so I have no amazing love stories to share, but this is the first dating site I tried that actively sends me profiles of guys who want more than just a date. After doing my time with Grindr and the likes, it's so good to go beyond that and know I am dating on a site where everyone else seems to feel the same. It's already made such a difference to my lovelife. All I ca say is if you want something different and more meaningful then definitely try it.

For your own sake please do not use this dating site. This company has a terribly website, constantly giving technical errors and logging out, constantly not working, constant poor connectivity, very poor tactic of blocking conversations with someone to try and force you to upgrade also.

ON TOP OF THIS I notified them to say I wouldn't renew my membership after 3 months, I heard nothing back and finally got an invoice in from them for double the cost. I challenged this and was told they never recieved my email and I was 24 hours too late to cancel - 24 hours - what a coincidence!

GAY PARSHIP HAS SINCE SENT ME TO A DEB COLLECTION AGENCY FOR SOMETHING I TOLD THEM I DIDN'T WANT!!!! I am now being forced to sue them. The distress this is causing me is horrific.
