Immoral, Do Not Touch With Barge Pole
I signed up for a 3 day trial last summer. The site was rubbish and I did not want to continue after the trial. I found out yesterday that dating for parents under the name NSI holdings have been taking £24.99 a month from my PayPal account fraudulently up to a total of almost £250. I rarely check PayPal account as is only used for small eBay payments. I spoke to their customer service and was spoken to very patronisingly and she was shouting over my voice. I asked to speak to her manager and she said no one was there. A totally dodgy set up and how immoral. Who would sign up for a 3 day trial and expect a subscription . A trial is a trial. PayPal have kindly refunded £50 as goodwill but I'm not sure where to go next. Any advice welcome please.

Terrible Site
Do not join this site. I made the mistake after a link from a review in a newspaper website, can only assume it was paid advertorial or something. Sign up is free and at that stage it all seems fine, but it is 99% useless without subscription, there is no way to communicate or even see profile pictures properly. However, they do give you some free 'ice breaker' type messages, so I deployed a few of them - and voila plenty of replies, which I couldn't read. Signed up for the 3 day trial and turned out they were all auto-generated and not from the users at all (most of whom had not logged on for months). And to add insult to injury it somehow managed to charge me an extra 15 pounds after my initial payment. I immediately cancelled the account (you need to go into my account page and find the subscription info where you can turn off the auto-renew', they send another email with a code and a link which just takes you back to the site with nowhere to put it, then you go back and can remove the account, hope that helps someone). Also for final insult if you use the 'forgot password' button, they send it to you in an email. In plain text.

Beware Fraudsters!!!!!!
Please steer well clear of this site or anything to do with Cupid.com. Once they have your card details they will go into your account and take any amount of money they choose without your permission, regardless of what you have signed up for. When you ring to complain they tell you it's in the small print. You don't have to agree to a monthly subscription, even if you opt for a three day TRIAL they will take more money every WEEK. I have had to cancel my card to prevent these fraudsters from going into my account, and am in Visa dispute and reporting to Trading Standards. Do not go near them they are fraudsters.
Thank you for your review. I also signed up for the 3 day trial thinking that's what it was just a trial. I discovered yesterday that they have taken almost £250 from my PayPal account since then. What an immoral company!!

Bait And Switch
I agree with previous reviewers. When I first joined the site some years ago, I chatted to several real people and had a couple of dates, one with a lovely genuine lady with whom I had a relationship for 2 years. Sadly that came to an end and last year I resubscribed to DfP. What a mistake ! It had changed completely to yet another fake profile, fake email bait and switch scam. Does anyone else here feel like jointly suing them for fraud ?
I've just found that out for myself - joined the site free, set up profile and received email notifications stating I had received private messages. Of course you have to be a "Full" member to read these. I decided to take the plunge and paid for a 6-month subscription only to find the messages were not private at all - they were the "Icebreaker" messages that DfP encourage you to make (Obviously knowing that people will then get the same notication message and be tempted to pay for membership). DfP is a CON, they are ripping us of and I'm pretty sure it has to be illegal under false advertising. I spoke to customer services and they said because I had looked at the messages I was not entitled to a refund even though they were not private messages after all. My advice to everyone - KEEP CLEAR of DfP or anything else run by Global Personals or White Label Dating they are con-merchants!!! Personally I'm going back to meeting people at the pub or out and about this internet dating is not for me...

It's A Scam Site. Fact !!!
Yes, I can prove it's a scam site. It's easy to find out. All you have to do is message every single fake message you recieve and you will never get a response.
All the photo's and profiles, apart from the few who, like me, are MUG enough to believe the fake bullsht they advertise, are fake and from OTHER website's also owned by CUPID PLC. Yes, Cupid is a PLC shares company and all they do is build scam dating websites for money.
FACT: Search google for Cupid PLC and see 100's of dating websites created and managed by THEM!

Very Poor Experience - 99% Fake Profiles
I think that Cupid PLC, the company that runs the website must have a whole team dedicated to creating fake profiles, and sending messages to random members.
In my short 2 weeks I have been a member I have received over 100 message, all of them clearly fake profiles. They are very easy to spot as the message will sound like a computer has generated it, and if you reply - what a surprise, your message will never get opened.
In addition to this because Cupid is a network of dating websites if you carry out a search you will receive lots of matches from its sister sites... some of which contain people who are not looking to be with people who have children.
Avoid at all costs.

This Site Used To Be Really Good, But Now It Has B
This site used to be really good, but now it has become like most of the others. If you want to be in control of who you wink/reply to be sure to turn off 'auto-reply'. Be aware that b4 u join, as has been stated on a previous review, there will be a lot of interest from fake people.
But my number one gripe with this site is that they collaborate with other dating sites- so it is not just parents on there and able to contact u. Even though I tick yes for having children in my profile- I can't count how many guys have contacted me and then been shocked that I have a kid. The point is that everyone is supposed to know everyone else has kids without having to read the 'HAVE KIDS box'- this can be not only annoying but rather confusing and hurtful causing more problems than solving them.
I actually have joined on and off over the years and have been on some dates though nothing major although that was of my own choosing. I find the site easy to use but non desperate and genuine people who like to do things the natural way will find the site quite forced. Date casts also completely defeat the object of reading peoples profile and seeing if u like them. I can only see these as being for people who have no standards.
Also it would be nice to be able to click on sometimes and not be visible as 'online now': if u can do this and I haven't found the settings then my apologies. But when u have become interested in one person but don't feel ready to give them your personal details yet, it isn't much fun logging on to have a million people pop up in the chat window. I had some very psychoish emails "hi I know you were online today cos I checked why haven't u emailed me back."
As usual with dating sites there are tons of people who are fake and you have to be cautious, but dating for parents could make this easier by not letting NON parents join the site/be able to view d4p members profile.
It is expensive as well for what you are getting and I would not recommend it anymore due to its new transformation. I want the old d4p back. It was so much more intimate and you only met parents. In this way d4p has betrayed its mission 'you're there for your children, we're there for you'. - Oh Please- give me a break!
Q&A
I have paid Dating for Parents $53.39. Please, if there is anyone out there who can give me a phone # to reach them or a valid e-mail address? that would be most helpful and appreciated.
