Be2 Advice

I have been doing a LOT of reading this weekend. From the research & picking through the truth and rumours out there, I’ve put together a summary of advice you are welcome to take or leave:

be2 is a well-organised, professional company designed to deliberately mislead, obfuscate, intimidate and extort.

If you have given them money, cancel your card immediately (or the account via which you paid) and get a new one. It doesn’t matter whether you manage to ‘cancel’ your membership or not, they will still take money as and when they please. Accept the fact that you will never get your money back - unless you have a kindly bank manager. Do not send be2 any more information about yourself and certainly not your signature.

If you used the same email/password combination for any other site, change your password immediately on those other sites.

Retain the emails and letters but do not reply to them. By emailing them you not only confirm that your email address is still in use, and that you have not blocked them, but also that you are still willing to engage with them because you have doubts or fears - which is where they want you. Arguing with them is pointless; they know exactly what they are doing: lying to and terrorising you.

Complain to – and educate - Oasis Active and any other sites that are advertising them.

Please remember it’s a scam and they are not stupid, in fact they are very successful at what they do (obviously the theft, not the site itself…). I suspect that someone at be2 has already been here, listed your names, all the information you are freely providing and best of all, content that you see yourselves as ‘victims’. Don’t give away personal information on sites such as this.

Nobody has gone to court and nobody is going to court.

Ignore them like the internet trolls they are, and they really WILL go away eventually.

Simply Do Not Join Be2,

The title says it all, but I have to write over 50 characters,

Company That Forces Clients To Renew Membership

Do NOT SIGN UP Costumer service of Be2 does not acknowledge that their WEBSITE link to cancel membership within period the 14 days of renewal required leads nowhere but to FAQ.

When I had to live they insisted they did not receive my letter or fax which is NOT stated in the terms and conditions as MANDATORY TO END MEMBERSHIP BY FAX OR SIGNED LETTER CLEARLY and they tried to collect money against my will and is threatening me by saying they are sending a debt collector.

The AUTOMATIC FORCED RENEW EXPERIENCE..They e mailed me in advance and suggested the non existent link to manage or cancel the membership but the link leads nowhere but FAQ, ive send an email back expressing my struggles then they waste time saying wait for 3 days for our reply! to just again tell me to use the link that doesnt exist and of course by then forced me into automatic renewal as time passed and is due to renewal ...then I mail explain my situation and show the e mail signed by LAETITIA PATEAU Director and they do nt NOT acknowledged as proof of ANY form of contact whatsoever in their words.

I repeat ANY E mails from the Customer Service of Be2 or signed by LAETITIA PATEAU the Director are NOT acknowledged as form of contact ! that e mail in front of you with date and time on it is TOTALLY DISMISSED by them no matter if she responds to you and says she cannot find your profile using your USER NAME with date and time on it like it happened to me.

Beware! - Be2.com Is A Complete Scam

DO NOT AT ANY COST JOIN Be2.com OR GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS!!!!

The site is COMPLETELY BOGUS - and apart from a few poor other suckers who get tricked into thinking that it is a genuine dating site, the rest of the profiles (clearly, the vast majority of them) are totally fictitious. I can only assume that the positive reviews below are as fictitious as the so-called contacts on Be2's site. They way that the exchange between yourself and other people is tightly controlled by Be2 (including use of automatically generated and unintelligible emails both to and from you), means that there would be no hope of ever striking up a relationship with someone, even if you could find another genuine user of the site - and there is no chance to 'browse' other members or try and make any selections yourself.

I have used two other dating sites and had no problem whatsoever in meeting numerous genuine people and then developing a lasting relationship. Be2.com. on the other hand, seems almost perfectly designed to prevent this from happening.

But the worst aspect is that it is almost impossible to cancel the expensive in-advance payments once you have signed up. The online membership cancellation pages do not work, and the other (onerous) procedures for cancellation are simply ignored by the so-called 'customer services' people - and the credit card payments keep getting taken. If you Google 'Be2.com dating reviews' you can find other review sites where hundreds of people have described how they have been conned out of hundreds of pounds by the criminal gang behind this company. You can read how, even if you change your credit card details in order to try and stop the payments, then the company starts threatening you with legal action and debt collectors.

BE AWARE THAT THIS IS NOTHING BUT A CRIMINAL SCAMMING RACKET - WHICH THE AUTHORITIES IN LUXEMBOURG, WHERE THE COMPANY IS CONVENIENTLY REGISTERED FOR AVOIDANCE OF REGULATION, SHOULD SHUT DOWN AND PROSECUTE.

Be2 - Beware This Site!

After signing up for a Be2 £5 trial, I decided to the site wasn't for me. They send messages to people on your behalf (but don't expressly state that they will do this or let you turn it off), and so you get replies from people you aren't attracted to, which is not nice for me, and probably not nice for them.

WORSE, when I tried to cancel. The online link led nowhere. I contacted them through the web form, they sent an auto message.. round in circles again. I printed of an auto filled form, which showed the date of pritnting, signed and scanned it, and sent it in. As the time got nearer I felt forced to cancel my credit card so they couldn't take payment. The form never arrived, and they don't have a record of my emails asking about cancellation - so now they are now chasing me for £100 and saying they will take me to court if I don't pay it. I emailed over a PDF of the form I posted to them... theyre not interested. No registered letter, so its tough.

I think they make it difficult on purpose, and its a shocking system they have in place. You just get auto paragraphs thrown at you, no acknowledgement of what you say - they are simply not interest but getting your money. A shame really as there are some genuine sites out there which ok, make money from you, but dont put you over a barrel to get more.

Hi there

Really sorry to hear you have also had issues. I have had many of these. Then, it went quiet for a couple of months, and just this week, I have had an email from a debt collector called Intrum Jusitita, which had my address on it. They said they had sent me a letter in the post, which wasn't true. I doubt a proper company would send an email to be honest!

There is a facebook page for people who have also had problems, they say that despite receiving emails from both, nothing has ever come of it.

Mimime74

Hi I'm having similar situation they are e mailing me non stop threatening I have a contract etc but i contacted them in time expressing no wish to automatically renew and had e mail reply from LAETITIA PLATEAU signed as DIRECTOR saying she could not find my profile and told me to use the link that leads nowhere too Ive recently also sent a letter explaining and although I ve sent them the mails replied from Laetitia Pateau the Director they are saying there is no records whatsoever of me trying to contact them and that am liable to membership costs and that they will send debt collectors most incredible thing is like I copied and pasted her e mail but they reply in the same e mail saying that there is no records ! I'm just like are they serious ?!? Why ? No company should FORCE clients ever specially an online business like dating and that is exactly what is happening ..I will not stop trying to let others know please reply to this ppl need to know what this company is doing ..

Criminal Scam

I have received a post from Intrum justitia saying that I own Be2 184.20 Euro and ask me make a payment to Intrum Justitia Ltd, Collections Services IE P.O. Box 1090, St. Albans, AL1 0SF

The sender is called E. Ball, contact number 08443750636, email address [email protected].

I have checked online and realised that the number, address, company name are all sham, then I found this http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.be2.co.uk, and shocked as so many people have the same experience.

I have also checked intrum justitia website and they don't have an office in St. Albans, so I emailed them to confirm whether this is another scam.

Once I got the response from Intrum Justitia, I will report Be2 as a fraud.

hi sorry to hear this , I've recently just had 2 emails in the last 10 days about payments of £89 plus £10 handling fee so aparently i owe £99.97 and i searched google and suprised myself but feal confident now that its a sham !!

I just feal bad if i don't pay that they will send Bailifs but then again Ive had no letter and tried tried tried to cancel my membership but nothing has come back to be and surely if that was going to happen they would send letters after letters telling me to pay .

Would they ?

Clueless75

I have also had this via email. The company itself seems real, but I doubt a serious threat would be sent via email. My address was on the email, and they said they had sent something via post, which of course, they didnt. Did you inform IJ about this? What came of it? I joined this fcebook support page! There are so many people out there!

Happy With Be2.co.uk

My friend recommended me be2.co.uk, as I was lonely quite long time. I had nothing to lose so I tried it. In my experience I like the site and its features. Although it’s not easy to find true love, I found many great girls for occasional talk. After some time I decided to cancel my membership. The last day of cancellation period I got very interesting message and answered. Until my cancellation period expired we managed to exchange few messages and also phone numbers. Since then I meet this special girl very often and only God know what might follow later. Thanks be2!

They have tried to take money from me but been unable , do i just ignore this now ?

Advise would be much appreiated , Thanks

Mazzles

Has anyone noticed how all the positive reviews here are written in the same poor, stilted English style with the same components missing? The same style in which most of the messages you received on Be2 were written? They are all written by the same (very busy) person.

Change your credit / debit card to prevent them taking from you and ignore the vacuous threats of debt collection.

I Was Inspired By Successful Stories At Be2.co.uk

I heard about be2 before but I didn't have courage to register there. Firstly I wanted to visit the site and check it. So I went through the site and found successful stories. Some of them really caught my eye and then I decided to try it. I registered, got my first partner recommendations and I am quite satisfied with it. I will see how it goes later but so far I have at least a few people for conversation and I don't feel so lonely as before.

I Have Met My Future Wife There

I have tried many dating sites but most of them were free. I didn't get the proper results from it. Then I hit it you don't get much for free. If I want to be successful I will have to pay for it.

I browsed a few sites and be2.co.uk I liked the most. I registered there and bought three months subscription for £29.99/month. Firstly I had to fill in personality test and after it I got many emails with my matches.

I contacted few of my matches and chatted with them until knew who I would like to meet. I decided to meet the one who I liked the most. After meeting her I knew that it would be the right girl for me. Every day we find out that we have something more in common than before. Now we plan wedding and want to start new life together.
