BookChums.com is a site for book lovers to connect with others. The main feature of this site -book clubs. Users can join various clubs- national club, city based clubs, private and premium clubs. Premium clubs offer an online library management system to the club owners. Premium clubs are primarily aimed at organizations, corporate accounts, libraries who will have a large number of members and who can do that in an effective and efficient way online. All clubs have their own separate subdomains, have built in features to have club blogs, club forums, create club events and so on.

Apart from clubs,you can create your online bookshelf by adding books that you have read, are reading or wish to read. You can then transfer these books to various clubs that you may own or suggest other club owners to add books. There are blogs and forums on the site as well as for club owners to add forums/blogs in their clubs. There's also a book trading facility. Essentially, I'd call it a book-networking and community site.

Currently it's in beta stage and hence I had a few issues, but otherwise I love the idea.

Worth a vist and thorough exploration definitely!
