I signed up to this Environment Agency Flood Alerts a while ago and I've got to say its a cracking idea.
Its free, and very easy to sign up to, and if there's a high risk flood alert they contact you on the contact details you sign up with.
We live on the river, so for us its an imperative so that we have time to get our valuables up to a higher floor in case of an impending flood!
Definitely worth signing up to if you're near a river or on a flood plain, you've got nothing to lose as it doesnt cost anything.
I found this review very helpful becauseI agree with it!! Yes, an extremely useful service and like the rest of the best things in life, it's FREE.
