We choose Idian Horizons for a tour around the South of India. Every change we maked on their standard tour was accepted and they brought us were we wanted.

Every day the head office of NewDelhi contacted us to inform if everthing was fine ! They followed us around the three weeks we traveled.

We went with Indian Horizons (part of Flexi Tours) in January 2015 for the 13-day tour of Nepal and the Golden Triangle. All the drivers and guides were on time and helpful, despite internal flights and trains being late every time! We took the 3-star hotel option and, apart from the Vedas Heritage in Delhi (dirty, damp) all the hotels were far better than we expected. Excellent value for money.

A friend and I just returned from spending nearly a month in India and Nepal with Indian Horizons. Trip went incredibly smooth. Drivers and guides were exceptional -- every single one of them! Contact with offices in towns was readily available. I would recommend opting for 5 stars accommodations as hotel ratings in India and Nepal fall short of those in Europe and UK. Guides were good about handling our wishes as we opted to participate in a few activities out of the norm (ultra glide in Pokhara, orphanage visit in Agra, Nepal election celebration, wedding procession dancing.) Would definitely recommend seeing more of Nepal than Kathmandu. By then, we were a bit "temple weary," so pristine beauty of Pokhara and Chitwan were a definite plus.

We took a tour of 13 days. Delhi-Amristsar-agra-jaipur-varanasi-nepal,chitwan- nepal pokhara. They took very good care of us. The office called us several times to see if anything was going well. We took budgethotels, which were good. Food was ok. they brought us to good and affordable restaurants. We only had bad experience in Varanasi. Nobody came to pick us up and bring us to the boatride. so we paid to high prise for the boatride. but the company paid us every rupee back!! which we appreciate. The driver in varanasi was terrible. But he was the only one. The 4 other drivers were very carefull drivers and they also gave us a lot of information about the culture, religion, ... Most of them warned us for dangers or for the beggers. If we had to pay or buy something, they told us in advance the price. Or they bought it for us. The drivers went to great lenght to give us a nice holiday. Honnestly, we were a little afraid in the beginning. The trip had a good and honest price. So we tought that the service would be bad. But is was not!! We would recommend this company to everyone who wants a careless holiday!!!

The last review posted on here was mine. I had a very bad experience based on our interaction with Saroj, and his regular requests for additional moneys after the booking and agreed payment had been made. This detracted significantly from the holiday.

However, on hearing about our experience, I was approached by one of the managers at indianhorizons.com, apologising for the way in which we were dealt by Saroj. I was also informed that Saroj has been given a back-office role away from customer care and been made to take additional training. They also paid for a meal in the hotel for us as a further apology.

While none of this has fully made amends for the way that we felt at the time, it does indicate that the company is willing and able to acknowledge (and take action) when they receive negative feedback, and hopefully avoid the kind of upset that we felt in the future. I have therefore given a rating of '4' on this review to give a more balanced view overall given the events subsequent to my earlier review.

Will I book travel through them again? At this stage I'm not sure, but I will probably at least ask them for a quote for another holiday. But not from Saroj.

I booked 1 short trip and 1 longer trip with them. Both had their problems.

The first they took full payment in advance, but didn't make any bookings for me until I chased 2 days before the trip. This meant that I didn't get into the zone in the tiger reserve with the beat chance of seeing tigers, despite having booked early. Very disappointed as a result.

The second trip was booked, and a deposit paid, more than 3 months before the trip. The balance was paid on arrival. However, consistent with another reviewer on here, they told me on day 3 that there was a supplement on INR2,000 per night and INR350 per person per meal to pay directly to the hotel for my next stopping off point. The fact we had a binding contract and non-negotiable price didn't seem to worry them. This spoiled the holiday, not only for this amount but also wondering what was coming next as we had another 4 days after we left that hotel.

You do need to impress on them when you get there that you want a very good service. It helps to tip the drivers well and they will usually take you to the good places.

We did a nine day tour of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur. The Delhi Hotel was not good in my opinion and our last night in Delhi was a just as bad as far as I am concerned. When contacted for help Rajeev was unhelpful and he made no effort to contact us the following day to get a feedback from us on the tour or even to say goodbye. We will not recommend Flexi Tours to any of our friends. Very disappointing backup service. Lots of promises on the website but did not deliver - for us.

We will recommend Flexi Tours to our friends without any doubt......they know their work!

We would like too thank Indian horizons for a wonderful stay in the beautiful country, it was a life time experience, it was a pleasure from the beginning until the end.

The hotels selected were great.

Though 2 hotels were changed, we later realized the changed hotels were actually better than the ones we actually selected! The help and advices we got from time to time were great! The patience shown by the staff in answering our innumerable questions was commendable. Thanks for making our trip to India such a great success!
