Adzuna have developed some unique social and stats tools to help the prospective job, house or car searcher. One can view average salaries, top recruiting companies and other insightful industry statistics. By connecting with Facebook or LinkedIn one can also see if any connections may be able to help in the job search.

Similar statistics are available to help with house hunting, providing information about different areas of the country, which could prove invaluable when searching for a house.

The general search results can be quite broad so it's really worth utilising the drill-down options and filters to really find the exact thing your looking for quickly.

Adzuna is a great tool in building your career. The job search is simple and uncluttered by the ads and popups that plague other sites. And what really makes it stand out are the up to date statistics on salaries. I haven't seen these on any of the other sites, but with Adzuna you can see what the average salary is for any job title, and then compare different companies and jobs. It's pretty neat and certainly helped me understand my market value as well as what kind of salaries people are paying. All in all this is one to watch.

I really like that it is possible today, to find everything in the internet, and you do not have to spend money on buying several newspapers, to find a job or a new home. But in the recent years, so many new portals were founded. So I spended hours to search at all portals and sit in front of my computer! Thats why Adzuna helped me a lot. the do the search at all these different portals for me, so I have only to visit one site for my search. i created also an email alert, so everytime there came new ads, which fit to my expectations, I got an email. So I had more time for me and my family and the search for our new home in Liverpool was much more relaxing. We had to move because of my wifes job and had a lot to do with organizing everything with our children anyway. While that time it took me also only one month to find a new job. Now we are quite happy here and I would recommend Adzuna to everyone.

Adzuna collects all the properties online and pulls them into one search tool - absolutely fantastic for flat hunting - now I don't have to troll around every individual property portal entering the same search queries over and over. The search results are highly relevant and have really nice filtering tools. The stats on average prices are particularly helpful in comparing areas to see where is generally affordable and narrowing down my search criteria.

Also, they have this cool tool which shows where you're friends are living/have been recently - has been really helpful as I moved cities recently and so was good to get some honest advice on where (and more importantly where not) to live. I would log into their connect tool to get the most out of the site.

I have also just started to use the job search part of the site - looking great so far. The transparency on salaries across job sectors is particularly interesting :)

Usually I would say for different things, different websites, but truth be told, Adzuna merges the search for properties, cars and jobs beautifully in an easy to use design.

In my opinion the best feature Adzuna has is the Adzuna connect. It connects your social networks to current job opportunities allowing you to request references and or more information. Without a doubt I would recommend this website.

I only think the website could have a little more colour and that the stats were easy to access..but I guess nobody is perfect (yet).

Just bought a 2005 VW Golf 1.9tdi with alloys through Adzuna for a bargain price! The ad belonged to Gumtree but the cool thing is that there were ads from Gumtree, Autotraders, Motors, and all the other places that I would normally search for cars all in one place. Easy!

So, with the news that Facebook are releasing their own social search engine, it's good to review one of the early and existing players in this space, Adzuna. Adzuna is a search engine for classified ads which has a social twist to it. For example, I can see where my friends have checked in on Facebook (nicely displayed on a map) and therefore ask them for advice on where to move to. At the same time, I can see which available jobs I am connected to through my LinkedIn and Facebook networks.

These guys have gotten a headstart on Facebook with their graph search, and it will be interesting to see whether Facebook move into the jobs and property verticals. FWIW, Adzuna's search experience itself (without the social features) is very comprehensive and compares favourably to Zoopla, AutoTrader, Indeed, and its other competitors.

One to watch!

I ordinarily use Oodle on Facebook to look for cars but I was redirected to Adzuna just now when I clicked on an Oodle link. Turns out that Adzuna bought Oodle UK. The design of Adzuna is nicer and than Oodle's, and it looks like the selection of cars on offer is bigger too. Nice work Oodle / Adzuna!

This is a nicely designed site and has a large selection of car ads to choose from. I don't doubt the integrity of the site, but I am always concerned when new sites are opened in my browser without my permission. Whenever I click on an ad, then I am taken to a different site, which I don't like. It seems that there are no virus or spam listings though, so I am happy to use this site.

Nice tool. Most vertical search engines don't provide the tools on offer with Adzuna. For job hunters, you can see which open jobs you're connected to through your network, and property hunters can see who's been to different areas of the UK so they can ask them about property there. Didn't see anything to help car owners except a quiz which was more fun than informative.
