This Is A Way To Look At Jobs Daily Without The Ex
This is a way to look at jobs daily without the expense of buying newspapers or visiting the job centre - ideal for people who live in rural areas, disabled, those at work all day who can't get in to job centres etc.
In principle it is a good idea but very poor information given on rather dull site which jumps from local jobs to nationwide ones without much notice.
Operators when you ring in for details go through asking you loads of information WHY? I am not on benefits and don't feel it appropriate to have to give so much detail of my circumstances before being given details of jobs.
Advisors are not well trained and it is like being interrogated - they want to tick their boxes not help you to get a job. A great idea poorly delivered very much as one expects from this control freak government - however use it because you may find something that suits you - pity that you have to suffer the intrusive treatment given out but that is job centre staff and ethos. They have a hidden agenda to make unemployed people feel bad about themselves - they do not realise that employed people may just be changing jobs or that they could become unemployed themselves at any time.
On line services could do so much and in this case deliver so little.
so, so true....i have just been made redundant 1 week ago...and i refuse to go to the job center as, like you have said so well..you feel like you have to put all your life in front of them...there is no privacy and it feels like it is your fault if you have lost your job...Staff are poorly trained and not very compassionate.
I have 40 years of work behind me and i have been without job twice in all my life..this is my 3rd time, and i don t want to revive the awfull experience i had with the job center..
