I have been using stvjobs as a recruiter for just over a year now. I must admit, the first 6 months after they launched i was sceptical that they would be able to sustain themselves in such a tough market, particullarly since the the CV's we were getting through were minimal.

All of this changed in September 09. We were extremely busy in terms of recruitment and i decided that i would give stvjobs one more try. I had noticed that their TV campaign had started again so purchased 10 jobs to post between September and January. The response i received was absolutely fantastic. Not in terms of numbers, they were still relatively low. The difference was in the quality of applicants coming through. The first two roles i placed i received 10 and 18 applications respectively. I took 3 to interview for each job and appointed 2 more than capable candidates 3 weeks later.

To me this is a recruiters dream. Not having to wade through hundreds of irrelevant CV's. I had just the right response and have also been able to build up a sort of CV database for myself because the candidates were of such a high standard.

I will continue to use stvjobs as my supplier of choice. A more than welcome addition to the Scottish Market

I have to say after years of one main site in Scotland for jobs, it was a huge relief to see a company like STV create an online recrutiment website. The site seems around a year old from when I first seen TV ads and since then they appear to provide jobs that even s1 do not have! - I did not expect this. What annoyed me whenever i did apply to s1, i got the feeling many of the jobs simply did not exist and when I would call to ask, i was told to speak to the agency (in not a very pleasant manner I must add)!

Not very helpful and when i did speak with agency i would get cut off. I am pleased to confirm this has not happend with STVjobs.com who have also carried jobs for the public sector which shows trust in the brand. When i did call to ask about an appliacation, they guy was so helpful and I felt he genuinley wanted to help me rather than fob me off the call. He did say that it would be best to speak to the employer but in a nice understanding way without seeing me as a burden for his time!

Refreshing to Scotland and so happy to have got my new job from this new site with a direct employer. The only bad thing i would say is that after applying for 9 jobs, 2 companies did not get back to me but hey, its an approvement from my exp[erience with s1. At last, a decent new scottish recruitment site! Keep it up guys!
