I Have To Admit That I Was A Little Worried At Fir

I have to admit that I was a little worried at first with See You On Set, that it might not be as good as it looked, because the website looked a little scruffy (to say the least). I have since been back to the site and it has been cleaned up a lot and looks a great deal better - so, perhaps the owner actually listens to feedback and reads reviews about his website.

Well, first things first.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail contained in the whole package that I was sent.

It is almost 50 A4 pages in length (as stated on the website) - 46, if I were to be exact, or pedantic. And these are not filler pages, simply full of lists; but actual useful information.

Each page has the SeeYouOnSet logo on top, which is a nice touch - although a different colour, to that of the one on the website? And is laid out in a very easily readable fashion, beginning with the contents page.

The contents page contains:

1) Introduction

This gives you a very thorough breakdown of what to expect and what to do and what not to do to: a) Find an agent; and b) How to behave on set.

2) Background Agencies

3) Specialist Agencies

4) Childrens Agencies

5) Modelling Agencies

6) Voiceover Agencies

7) Presenters Agencies

All these categories contain lists of agents throughout the UK.

The information contained is the Agency name, website address (if there is one), normal address (with postcode) and their telephone number.

8) Unions

9) Rates of Pay

This section is extremely in-depth.

It's also followed by a TV & Film studio address directory and a film terminology section (slang film terms) - which is actually quite informative and fun.

10) Terms & Conditions.

This also includes an incentive scheme; a sort of refer a friend (although it's 3 friends and they each have to purchase the package); but you do get £10.00 refunded if you do.

(Kingston is my referral name)

From this I have been able to look at various agents and check them out, and have already sent my details to the ones that I prefer. I have heard back from two (with two pending), asking me to come in for an informal interview later this month.

Obviously, I am not guaranteed to be taken on their books, or to be given work through buying this package. But it has saved me a huge amount of time and effort, let alone trial and error, and as such, I feel that it has been £19.95 well spent.
