Highly Recommend To Come And See For Yourself :) :)
I have suffered anxiety for many years and would recommend that you try this website if you are having any difficulties with this condition.
It is a very friendly and informative place to be and I can honestly say that it has been a major part of my recovery. I would not have done it without this website.
The chatroom is a supportive place to be.
Come along and see for yourself :)
Hello how do I join this site please
Just to clarify...... as stated in my review.... My personal experience with this website has been at a 5 STAR standard and I have received the best support group therapy that I have EVER come across..
That is and ONLY why this site deserves a 5 star rating.
As I stated before COME ALONG AND CREATE YOUR OWN OPINION OF THIS WEBSITE. IT REALLY IS A FANTASTIC PLACE!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
I will suggest the 5 star reviews are 1 of 2 things
- Part of the admin team, or are friends with the admin and are therefore supporting them
- Want to impress the admin or are scared of falling out of favour with the admin, and a good review scores points.
[brownie] points in a dictatorship. "Wanting to stay in with the admin" is a Big theme on the site.
"tory voter" you could say. The tories have helped many rich people get richer (or the tories help people who donate to them....like...donating a good review), at the expense of tax dollars (everyone else). There are many millionaires who will be voting tory next time.
If the site has honestly genuinely helped you, I would contest the owner doesnt really want that. The owner doesnt want you getting better, while they dont. Completely understandeable. They do however, want you to say nice things about them.
I'll also contend that the moment the 5-star reviewers disagree with the site owner, they'll get the boot. If any of the admin disagree or argue with the owner, they wont be admin for long, so going to an admin may not be useful. If you tell the site owner "you're fantastic", you have a seat. Hence the 5 star reviews. The 5 star reviews have only appeared since someone else, who also noticed the real nature of the site, saw this review. So a few politicians trying to get in with the political party.
I don't want to shatter any illusions, and if the site has genuinely been great for YOU as a seperate person...Have fun.
re grudge. A lot of people running the site have a grudge against themself and their own situation. This spills out as them having a grudge against other people. Some people "improve", at the expense of others. Come and be a stepping stone.
Particularly on this site, there are many people who's life situation is not good. Therefore, nmp is "a unique opportunity" to be part of something. There are many people who will go to lengths to protect their involvement. The sites intention is not to help you. It may suit you, but it's not for you.
I'll guarantee there are many people who haven't written a bad review because they are scared at the treatment from admin.
That's also one of the reasons for writing a good review. Go to a pub and say all politicians are [censored]s. Have your free drink. Now walk into westminster and say that. Check the response.
Several people who the sites serves, get better at the EXPENSE of others. The "admin" try to ensure this. Some are admin.

Very Helpful Site
I don't understand the above review - Perhaps the site was not for them.
I joined a long time ago and have found no more panic to be a great source of inspiration with very helpful people.
There are people online all of the time so if I need help I can find it.
I have had cause to speak to the admins a few times, mainly related to the chat room and they have always assisted me when I needed it.
The information available on the main website is superb. I originally found the site googling about panic attacks and the first thing I looked at was the website pages about panic - It really helped me understand what I was going through.
Needs A Health Warning.
Should be called "no. More panic"
The site was created 10 years ago as "a source of information". A sign that says "beware of the dog" is a source of information.
By it's nature the site has attracted admin with the most issues. Their "therapy" is the forced attention of admin status. The site causes hassle because the admin are running this site for their benefit, not yours.
Many admin and long term users give bad information because they want to "pay it forward" with their destructive and self destructive issues. It is destruction therapy for them to bring others down to their level. The few good people who correct this bad information, leave because of the hassle the site causes.
The site should be called "no. More panic"
It's for the 1% (the admin/owner and long term users). not the 99%. But lets face it, the 1% ARE going to recommend it. and there might be a sprinkling of decent stuff in the 99%.
On a site, you initially trust the people in charge, until you see something you question. The truth is, rather than mostly good and some bad, it's mostly bad and some good. Any organisation aspires to the central point of its management. like a black hole.
I agree with the comments. It is cliquey and the admin really seem to jump on the band wagon and enjoy arguing. I have only read and not posted and I am actually too scared to post after reading. It's not like any mental health forum I have ever come across. Usually admin and moderators are helpful, especially on sites dedicated to mental health. Not this one! Please read some of the things that are posted before you post and end up feeling worse off than before!!
Who asked you too in the first place.
You don;t understand plain English, this is quite clear from your response above.
History suggests the site owner cannot, or will not resolve things, apart from their image.
Ok well its obvious that you do not want to resolve the situation, or at least attempt to. Please bear in mind that I have no idea who the three of you are so have to take what you post on here at face value. Don't forget that there are TWO sides to every story.
NMP has no problem with bad reviews, every site gets them and given the nature of the members on NMP I would not expect it to suite everyone. People need to make their own mind up. Given the circa 35 thousand members over its life time and tiny number of bad reviews I would suggest that its nothing like you are attempting to make out.
In response to Moodstons points
'How many admins does it take ...' Irrelevant question. Replies will be made by whichever admins are around at the time. That is how the admins operate.
'Heavy handedness'. Totally untrue. Given the type of issues the forum deals with there are some very clear rules to protect the members. In the rules it is very clearly explained what will happen if the rules are broken.
'You seem to tackle problems after the damage has been done'. Problems are tackled as they are reported.
And to address the other points from Panic8
'The latest was the Its been a great 11 years thread. I think one innocent member was bullied and ganged up on on that too.'. Since, even as a banned member, you have access to the forum I suggest you re read that thread. There is no bullying on it, yes emotions run high but they will on a thread like that.
Since you do not want to discuss and try and resolve the issue there is little point in continuing this discussion so no one from NMP will post again on here, you can always contact NMP or me in the future should you change your mind.
Moodstone, They always do it in 3,s or more, they love public arguments, This can be seen numerous times on the forum.
The latest was the Its been a great 11 years thread. I think one innocent member was bullied and ganged up on on that too.
