Borders Counselling offer online counselling by email or post, as well as a telephone counselling option. I've only tried their email option, and I found it really useful - the counsellor was insightful and understanding, and the service worked very efficiently. I would probably still have prefered to see a counsellor face-to-face if I could, but as I was working in Spain at the time (and don't feel I can speak Spanish well enough for counselling) this was a great option, and it was much more helpful than I was expecting. Writing your thoughts and feelings down in an email can be quite intense at times - it seemed to go much faster than previous face-to-face counselling I've had, so it's important to be prepared for that.
