This Review Relates To The Website - Rosemary Conl

This review relates to the website - Rosemary Conley Online, not the clubs.

You can join up for around £35 per month or £50 for 3 months or £80 for a year. Although this was the most expensive option I joined for a month to see if the website was worth signing up to for a longer period of time.

I would not recommend subscribing to the on-line service for the following reasons:

The website is counter-intuitive and cumbersome to navigate.

The food database that you use for the daily dairy is very, very, very simple. You constantly have to put in food into your personal database - some really basic things that you would expect to find in there. There is no option for restaurant food - so you basically end up guessing. You would be better off buying yourself a calorie counting book and using an Excel spreadsheet to record your calories. It would be far simpler than using the cumbersome add new food to your personal database.

There is no recipe builder - this is fine if you live on ready meals or buy mostly pre-prepared food but a problem if like me you like to cook from scratch.

The food suggestions from the diet are included in a separate screen to your daily diary.

The daily diary is cumbersome to add food to, if you want to get the food displayed in order of meals you have to put in the time that you ate it. I found it to be unnecessarily tedious.

The forums are dead - there are about five people who post regularly but other than that it is completely empty. I could see forums that hadn't been posted in for several months. So if you are looking for a bustling community atmosphere you're best to look elsewhere.

The website really doesn't offer much more than buying the book.

As a subscriber I would not say that the website is value for money. All you get is a database that is lacking in foods - you have to add most of them, a diary that is tedious to complete, and forums that are populated by a handful of people. There is also a chat room which I never used. You can also find recipes on the website but that is it as far as subscriber only content goes.

I did notice that Rosemary Conley has a large number of videos - exercise, cooking etc available free of charge on rosemaryconley.tv - surely it would be an idea to have some subscriber only content of this nature as well?

In conclusion Rosemary Conley Online was poor value for what it was - basically an on-line version of the book with a recipe book attached and forums. You would be better off if you bought the book, and one of the recipe books. Then used MS Excel to keep track of your calories as I mentioned earlier. There are plenty of free forums on the internet where you can chat with other dieters.

Rosemary Conley's Real Results Dvd. Ros

Rosemary Conley's Real Results DVD.

Rosemary

I have been following your video's New Body by Design and Complete Flat Stomach for over 20 years and I am very happy with the results. I have tried your new Real Results DVD and whilst the aerobics exercise is fine I am disappointed that there is not an Upper Body section to help my posture as in the New Body by Design video. As video's will soon be extinct, I hope you will produce a DVD similar to the New Body by Design video.

Many thanks

There Are Better Clubs Out There. Previously

There are better clubs out there.

Previously I had been to Weight watchers but liked the look of the RC clubs because of the exercise classes but I was really shocked at how unorganised and disinterested the class leaders were. I couldn't imagine that Rosemary Conley herself would approve and after joinng a second club of hers to see if the leader was any better I was shocked at her attitude and rudeness towards a fellow member. So much so, that I wrote 3 letters of complaint to RC herself, The Director of RC and also the Complaints Dept and 5 months later I have had no reply despite chasing them up. Absolutely disgusting.

Have just had a long conversation with a very helpful ( and understanding ) lady at R.Conley head office. She let me explain fully the problems I had encountered and listened to my long complaint.

They will be dealing with the issues I raised, and have offered me a refund of the monies I paid upfront for the classes.

Having been very unimpressed with the actual classes, and the instructor, I am more than impressed with service I have received from head office.

I found this review very helpful because...it has backed up my impression of the club that I have just complined about again ! Just want the weekly fee as far as I am concerned. To watch the online hard sell makes me laugh now..all smiley, helpful etc...not like the class I joined..disgusted. I totally agree with this reviewer. I now wonder where my official complaint will end up that I am making tomorrow ( At their request )...unanswered possibly going on this ladys comments.

After Many Years Of Yo-yo Dieting I Have Found Som

After many years of yo-yo dieting I have found something that really works (I've tried a number of other clubs and methods). You really can change your eating habits with this diet-it's all about healthy, low GI eating and it isn't too painful. The meetings are fun, the leader is supportive, the fitness DVDs are the best I've seen and reasonably priced.MOST OF ALL-IT WORKS!
