I searched high and low for website building software to let me create my website.

There are no end of free options, which turn out to not be free - obviously. Then there are the paid for options which fall into easy to use and then downright mystical for someone like me that doesn’t know about websites and doesn’t want to know about websites!

I tested several of the easy to use options and came across a product called WebMaker, www.webmakercms.com. For me it worked because it was easy to use and fast to create a website.

My goal was to set up a website that had information about my company and products and then move to selling. Along the way with WebMaker I realised with it I could add video and audio, tweak it to get it picked up in Google, add in a newsletter and link to my twitter and facebook accounts. So much more than I thought I could do.

The great thing about WebMaker is that once I got going I could add features easily from the admin area and that included a shop to sell products. I can also, at the click of a mouse change the design of my web site, so my visitors never get bored.

All in all, I would say if you want to get on the web quickly, don’t want to learn any mumbo jumbo and need it to be flexible and expandable, this is a great product.

Also for me budget was 'tight' so starting at £8 per month it was also very attractive!
