I engaged the Design Boyz for a website project after they responded to my Odesk job posting. There proposal seemed well thought out and they were generally professional. I should have realized that red flags were popping up as the project progressed. Every time I spoke to them, they asked about being paid additional amounts of money (price of project agreed upon up front with the understanding that 50% would be paid up front and 50% upon successful completion of the job). When I told them that I would not pay additional money until I saw some results, they began to withdraw and stop responding to emails/calls. When they told me that they need additional money because payroll time is coming and they need to pay their employees, I told them no again (need to see results first). At that point, they completely stopped responding. Dealing with the credit card company to get my money back now.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

These guys were on a NZ programme warning about them. They take money and don't do any work. STAY AWAY.

I'm a web designer and I am communicating with one of their customers, who now needs an entire new website, because they took his site offline and won't answer his emails.

They will work with you and take advances throughout the job. They give you an empty template and then YOU design it piece by piece and they take your instruction and put it the way you tell them too. And usually still get it wrong. They have no clue how to do it on their own. Once they get tired of working on it they stop responding to your calls or emails. They will never give you a price; just ask for how much you have to spend. And they will agree to anything, because they want what you have. If you notice right now on their Facebook and Twitter account, all activity has stopped since Feb 2015.

I hired the design boyz to redesign my website. They asked for part payment straight away and every now and then would ask for more payments to be made. When the whole thing was paid they stopped working on my site and refused to answer any of my emails or phone calls.

My site is unfinished and some of the things I had to ask them to do was just ridiculous - things like asking them to make all the boxes in a form the same height as they were all different. I had to ask them to format the date and time correctly etc These things other designers would do automatically without having to be asked.

I was stupid to pay an overseas company before having them finish the work. Never again. Do not hire these people.

We hired this company for SEO work on 20/05/2014.

They promised that they would get 4 out of 10 keywords onto page 1 of google.

They themselves stated that they would achieve this in 3 months (by 20/08/2014).

We kept paying them a monthly fee.

As time progressed they failed to achieve targets.

They asked for several extensions, which we gave.

They failed to achieve every target.

The accounts manager then disappeared for a few weeks and did not reply to my emails.

And when he finally did reply to my emails, he stated that our rankings had now fallen to approximately 90-100 (page 10 of google).

After 6 months, our rankings are nowhere near the top 10 (which was the agreed target).

They completely failed.

In total we paid them £720.

They failed to do the job which they were hired for.

My advice: do not waste your time using these guys as they will fail to do the job, they will charge you for the work and you will end up losing business as a result.

The Design Boyz Ltd is a very good organization and I fell blessed to be a part of this organization. I was able to learn many things from this organization and they also helped us a lot in my personal life. I hope this organization will very far in this industry. Missing all my managers and colleagues.

They hire low wages IT person with NO knowledge for website design or developing work , Do not hire them otherwise you will loose you money and time and Do not give them advance.

I am one of the old customers of The Design. They have provided me very good SEO service for my website. Unfortunately, I came to know that few people are giving bad reviews against them. However, I am quite sure that they are talking wrong.

We are having ongoing problems with the Design Boyz. We are trying to make changes to our website, and Design Boyz refuse to give us a new password.

They state that we owe them money, so we asked them to send us an invoice and full record of billing so we can see where the money is owed. According to our records, we have paid them in full.

During the last 12 months, there have been no reminder invoices stating that money is still owed. Despite four telephone requests, there has been no billing advice, and they say that we should just pay the outstanding amount. Until we pay this amount, they will not give us a new password.

It is very frustrating, and I would not recommend them as their follow up service is terrible.
