Worst Company Ever

Took nearly a year to not even finish what was meant to take 8 - 12 weeks.

I stopped it eventually and they would not refund but they demanded the second payment so we took them to court they did not submit evidence until the night before the hearing and yet the court proceeded. Then the court adjourned it for 3 months. I told them a figure i would be happy with but they refused. Then the day before the second hearing they made an offer over the phone of exactly what i asked in court 3 months earlier. Now as i had spent more time and effort on the case i refused. Meaning they had to drive all the way over here and then i got a little bit extra and settled.

Make sure any contract is checked and write your own timescale contract.

a wasted year for a rubbish service and a bespoke website that definitely is not bespoke, unless you call your images bespoke. They are just drop in templates.

I have all the paperwork to substantiate my review.

Or just avoid like the plague (I wish i had)

Useless, Copy And Paste Websites. Would Not Recommend At All

After several emails and phonecalls from Neoteric UK offereing to design and launch a website for me I decided to use them to build a website for my business.

They promised me a complete working website in the time frames we discused as I had to have it for a trade show the following year.

Months went by and they were hard to contact and the pages I was sent showing my website were copy and paste pages from something called wordpress, all in latin and of no relation to my product sector at all.

The so called business manager handling my design was not even aware what my business did and the product was not fit for purpose at all.

It was not ready when I was promised it by and as a result I missed having a sales platform for my once a year trade event and ended up going bust as i had orded several thousand items of extra stock for the show and had no way to sell it properly afterwards.

I was told I could get a refund from the sales manager but then received an email from the owner saying that I could not have a refund due to all the work that had been done on my site.

I showed the work to several website designers who I was passed onto by a local charity that I was treasurer for and they all said the work completed so far was very basic and would have only taken a small fraction of the time that Neoteric claimed had been spent on it.

Avoid this company at all costs if you want a website that actually works and can be used by your business.

Feeling Hopeless And Helpless

We all here at Globe Write are feeling the strain that lays in the responsibility of Neoteric UK due to their faults and actions. I have read some of the reviews on here clearly stating the negative experiences that people have had with them or still are and yet Neoteric have found it fitting to delete not only some of these reviews that put them in a bad light but that of the reviews by Globe Write as well!

I find this to be unfair and untrueful as they are doing their best to hinder people who are clearly unhappy with them and would just like Neoteric to take responsibility and look after their customers as they should be doing.

The fact that we have had problems with Neoteric concerning their false and blind promises in moving our website forward with the hope of successfully starting up our business SHOULD be taken on board with the goal of finishing the website at the quality standard of the owner. This should be what Neoteric, as a CREDIBLE company WOULD want to do and achieve instead of going efforts to shut down people who are exposing this company for what it is and running away without the thought of making amends with these unhappy customers.

Please Neoteric UK, we are not doing this or writing these reviews out of spite; you need to understand that you have left many people unhappy and distressed with your services and misleading nature and so we want you to take this into account, take responsibility and understand that there would be such consequences due to all of this.

Hi Selen,

I know that there are putting fake reviews and like to remove the true reviews.

I just write this because I got a horrible experience with Neoteric. I do want that you will get a similar experience like me. They can not complete my web project in time which is a very easy web project. They even told me that I do not know when the web project will be completed. They told me that the integration would be completed in 4 weeks. Now, I am waiting over 12 weeks. On Friday I got an email from the Project Manager saying that the calculator is completed. But when I checked everything was wrong price and etc. So I am going to take legal action too. This company should be forbidden to trade. Never would choice this company.

Stay Away From From This Company.couod Not Complete Our Web

Dear all,

I and my Business Partner strongly recommend that you avoid using this company due to the horrible experience we have had working with them. They are not able to complete a simple web integration which should have taken no longer than a month.

I do believe that all reviews must be true. I have had a terrible customer experience with this company dealing with their services.

.

Around 5 months and 2 weeks ago I paid Neoteric the first 50% fee of £1650 to build a very simple website. However, almost everything that was agreed upon on in the contract has not been fulfilled except for the design of the website of course. They are continuously repeating what they have been telling me for the past couple of months; that "development is in progress and the website is in testing phase".

Unfortunately, they still have not completed the integration which again I point out, should have been completed in 4 weeks/a month. Now, it has been over 11 weeks and they still haven't seen through with our agreed contract. They have also informed me that they do not know when they can complete this simple web project which I find absolutely disgusting. They are misleading businesses and customers with false promises and that is unethical conduct in the business world. Successful businesses equals to profits through customer acquisition and retention if business activities are carried out accordingly and I strongly believe Neoteric has not that understanding.

Hence why this company do not know when they can complete your web project; instead words filled with empty trust and promises that it would be completed soon.

Do not trust their words! I warn you this! Now, even my Solicitor has had to get involved and I am leaving this matter in their hands.

I am lucky that I am from a wealthy family and should not bother too much as I have other future business project. And I am very lucky that I decided to not work with Neoteric for a much more expensive web project which would cost at least £20000. I think this case will end in court anyway because they can take your money but do not have the competency to finish any simple website.

There are many opportunities and not only just the court considering what my Solicitor can do, but I cannot publish a comment onto the web now for a strategic reason. My Solicitor advised this.

He told me we will wait for a maximum of another 1 month. Another advice would be to be very careful about the emails and phone promises from the Sales Manager or Development Manager; they often promise something and do not keep it. He wrote in the contract (like I said earlier) and promised that the integration will be completed in 4 weeks.

But now over 1 week has been overlapsed since the start of the agreed date of completion.

I will update you guys in a later stage anyway and will inform you what other false promises or disgusting lies they have said. Run a mile from this company until it can sort out its business ethics, conduct and activities.

And now I will leave it at that!

Going That Extra Mile

When making the extremely important decision of what company to hire, it was never just about their track record, portfolios and overall ability to meet certain desires as a business, but rather about the people within, and if they can prove they understand the importance of the task at hand, whilst showing the drive and passion in order to complete such a project. They passed with flying colours.

Six Notch is an extremely complex website and they tackled it with such enthusiasm from the very beginning. From day 1 with Neoteric providing a competitive quote, too the developers working tirelessly and being available at ANY time, they really have contributed immensely and elevated the potential Six Notch now has. Neoteric won't sit there idle and just nod their head at every word. They'll put forward realistic ideas throughout that really contribute to the functionality and usability of the website.

We've ran into issues along the way, which is inevitable with a site so complex and it would be naive to believe that everything will progress without a hiccup. But the way in which the personnel respond in a professional manner really helps mitigate any issues that arise.

The successful experience has lead to Six Notch working with Neoteric for several upcoming projects.

Regards

Completely Failed To Deliver On All Aspects

We were contacted by Neoteric UK on 12th May 2015 about building us a website to sell our products from. We were told this website (built using Magento) would also integrate with both our eBay and Amazon stores and allow us to control listings of products, stock inventory and shipping all from one central control panel. After numerous discussions and exchange of emails with their sales person (who seemed quite knowledgeable) they produced a detailed proposal.

The proposal ran into many pages but the key details and requirements were as follows (copied from their proposal):

"The client requires a professional and impressive website to be used as a web shop for retail and trade customers. The site needs to be at today’s standards of being mobile friendly and all the features of that industry.

1. Bespoke mobile friendly design (responsive)

2. SEO friendly

3. Comprehensive administrative CMS control (with the control of the Multichannel store) built with Magento

4. Ebay & Amazon Integration (including overseas sites)

5. Royal Mail BMO (PPI) Integration Module

6. Product import from ebay (3rd party listings)

7. Reviews (Trusted and Google Approved) "

It was stressed at the time that we wanted to be up and running by October ready for our Christmas sales and we were told the whole development would take just 8 weeks (the schedule was also written into the proposal). The contract was signed and 60% of the cost paid upfront on 20th May.

In mid-May we were also contacted by Royal Mail to say they wanted us to start using their Despatch Manager Online (DMO) system as from October 2015. We contacted the original sales person and he stated it was just a different module we had to buy a license for. As the cost difference was just an extra £25 he verbally agreed to waive the fee and we confirmed we wanted to go ahead with the DMO module by email on the 29th May and again stated we needed this to be complete by October.

We were then contacted by a Project Manager to run through initial website designs. Several static example pages were produced quite quickly and we agreed on a general design on the understanding that these were just generalised and we could change certain information later. As the initial website design was now agreed we had to now pay a further 20% of the cost. The date was now 22nd June.

The project manager gave us 2 training sessions via telephone on the Magento CMS Panel each about 1 hour long. One on the 10th July (to show how to add a new product) the other at the end of July (to go through our business policies). It was during these sessions I started to have a few doubts about the company. Many of my questions could not be answered by the project manager and they even admitted they had only just completed training themselves the week before. In between these training sessions we exchanged several emails with the project manager to give details such as eBay and Amazon login details, information on what payment methods we wanted, our standard Terms & Conditions, etc. which were all to be incorporated into the website.

It then went quiet for a few weeks. We assumed that Neoteric were working in the background importing our eBay products into the system (as per contract) and testing and finalising website design. On 27th August, we were getting a little concerned that we had had no contact so we logged into the Magento CMS Panel to have a look at what had been done. We spent a considerable amount of time looking through the Catalog and checking Sales Orders and comparing this with the actual eBay/Amazon sales. To our disappointment we could not see that any real work had been done at all and produced a report that we sent to Neoteric listing the problems which were:

1. Products were only being imported into the Magento Catalog when a sale occurred on either eBay or Amazon. There had been no full product import from eBay.

2. The products that were imported were missing a lot of vital information such as Brand, Colour and Size. In fact size was always set to ‘48’ – even on clothes we sell that come in Small, Medium or Large

3. Stock levels were often different between Magento, eBay and Amazon indicating that no stock synchronisation was occurring. We had been told if we updated stock quantity on any platform (whether because new stock had been bought or a sale occurred) all the other platforms would also update automatically.

4. Not all sales orders from eBay or Amazon were being captured in the Magento system. All sales orders occurring on the International Amazon sites were simply being ignored. Certain UK sales from both eBay and Amazon were also not generating an equivalent Magento order. Obviously, this meant we could not produce invoice or shipping labels from the Magento CMS for orders that had not been captured.

5. Sales on international eBay sites were coming into Magento with no conversion of the currency. For example if we sold something on the eBay US site for $30 it would come into Magento as £30. This obviously meant the figures could not be used for record/book keeping.

6. When a sale occurred on eBay and the product imported into the Magento system it would set the stock quantity not to the amount left on eBay but to the Total Sold amount. Worse still, it would often also update the eBay quantity to Total Sold as well meaning that many of our eBay stock levels were now wrong and we over sold on several products.

7. We could not find anywhere within the Magento CMS Panel where there appeared to be any integration with the Royal Mail DMO system for producing shipping labels.

We emailed this list of problems to Neoteric on the 27th August.

We then received an email from someone who said they were the manager of the Support department saying they were disappointed with the lack of communication and that they would immediately look into it. Several days later we were telephoned and told our original project manager had left the company and we should have been allocated a new one but for some reason this had not occurred. They apologised and said they would like to get the problems resolved. We then ran through a few configuration details on the Magento CMS and we were told these should resolve most of the problems. We were asked if we had seen our website yet. We answered no as we had not been given any information. We were then given a website address where we could view our test website and were told to look at it over the weekend (as it was now Friday 4th September) and go back to them with any comments/changes.

We started to look at the new website but it quickly became obvious that there was still a huge amount to be done before it would be of any use. We therefore took the decision that the website should wait until the other problems were resolved ready for our October deadline and emailed Neoteric on the 11th September to tell them to concentrate their efforts on resolving the eBay/Amazon/Royal Mail integration issues first.

Since then we have exchanged several emails with Neoteric. First they said their developers resolved problems within 5 working days of being notified of them. This deadline expired with still not a single issue resolved. Then they informed us we had to install a file to get the Royal Mail DMO integration working so we asked for the file and it was not sent. They then informed us of the good news that they we did not need the DMO module as they had already configured the Royal Mail Despatch Express module. Not knowing what Despatch Express was we googled it to find that this system had been withdrawn by Royal Mail in February 2013. By this time we had lost faith in the company so we gave them a deadline that we expected to see some real progress by 18th September or else we would be cancelling the contract and asking for a refund.

On 17th September they emailed us to say that they had yet again re-configured the system and all our problems would be resolved within 24 hours. We tested again 24 hours later to find not a single issue had been resolved so we emailed back to say we were cancelling the contract and wanted a refund. They then emailed us to say they had tested the system and certain issues were resolved, some they could not replicate and some were our fault for not entering Brand and UPC information on some of the products. So, yet again, we went through the issues and not a single problem had been resolved and we sent back very specific examples where products had been imported incorrectly; where certain orders from eBay or Amazon were still not being captured and that when we tried to print shipping labels we got an error. Also, a complete product import from our eBay store had still not happened – only products that had had a recent sale had been imported. In response to the problem that we had not entered Brand information on a product they referred to a specific item in the Magento Catalog. We therefore checked the product in our eBay store only to find Brand had been entered there – they had not setup this information when they imported the product.

It has now been 17 weeks into a project that we were told would take 8 weeks and we have absolutely nothing to show for it. None of the issues we raised on 27th August have been resolved and our October deadline is fast approaching. We have therefore cancelled the project and asked for a complete refund.

Hi

Why have you put this on my review? I understand that you have had a bad experience with them but if you actually read my review my website has been live for ages and I had little or no issues with them at all and you're posting this trying to say "you hope I dont have a bad experience"

Looks more like youre just trying to bad mouth them where ever you can.

For anyone reading this, I had a very positive and quick experience with Neoteric and found Wayne especially helpful and knowledgable.

Dear all,

I and my Business Partner strongly recommend that you avoid using this company due to the horrible experience we have had working with them. They are not able to complete a simple web integration which should have taken no longer than a month.

I do believe that all reviews from Sue Howell, Michael Thompson,

Just had an ecommerce website that controls my ebay and amazon stores as well. A FANTASTIC job done! The amount of time this is saving me is amazing.

Would definitely recommend giving these guys a try. They seem to know what they're doing!
