Daily.co.uk Used To Be A Great Company...

Daily.co.uk used to be a great company however Paragon Internet have taken them over and they are now terrible.

Tried to renewal my domain online where the control panel advertised the price at £10.99+vat for a single year, paid and was issued an invoice stating renewal for domain name and the price. The website however showed an error and said something failed, but your payment was successful DO NOT REPEAT PAYMENT please contact support.

Support come back a while late and say it's too late to renew for £10.99+vat and it's now £90+vat, I decline and ask for a refund.

Daily.co.uk (T/A Paragon Internet Group Ltd) come back to me and refuse to issue a refund for the missold renewal/legal invoice which shows clearly the description and price for what I have paid yet will not refund it when they didn't renew it.

The details are now in the hands of Slough Trading Standards, unfortunately as most customers won't find this review until it's too late as they use a generic name rather than Paragon Internet to trade online.

Worsening I Think

I have been with Daily since 2009 and have numerous domains with them and two commerical WordPress sites

Pros.

*Decent value domains

*Good features with the domains as standard such as email forwarding

*Good response time with support tickets. They speak in plain English and have even logged into WordPress admin to change settings

Cons

*We started with a static website, then went to Joomla which was not admirably quick, then we migrated to WordPress and that was the same speed getting slower over time

We migrated one of our sites away from Daily and without any changes it was substantially faster. The remaining site is moving at the moment to another server and it will barely load a page at the moment.

I am not technically minded particularly but Daily hosting just is not up to the task

Daily Internet Are An Utterly Useless Web Host

Been with Daily Internet since 2008 and up until recently was fairly pleased with the service. Then they were taken over by a company called Paragon Internet Group (who also run Vidahost, TSOHost and Mr Site) and following an atrociously managed service migration in Sep 2016 that saw customers sites down without any notice for 36 hours their service levels plummeted.

As I write this (20 Nov 2016) they have only managed approx 1.5 days of uptime on my site in the last 6 days. I am still suffering a lagging site that spends much of its time unusable and their email servers are constantly being blocked by Spamhaus because of a poor reputation. I have a ticket relating to email problems that has been ongoing since the 6th of October, plus ongoing issues with outgoing emails blocked by their servers and they still don't seem to have a clue how to deal with the issues.

Also my backups were non-existent for approximately a month and I was quite frankly lied to by their staff who told me they were there but I just couldn't access them - it turned out there were no backups at all. Its not like they are even particularly cheap any more, as there are other companies with better reputations and reviews that offer services at comparable fees.

I now have the prospect of moving everything to another provider at my busy time of the year, however I am so disgusted with their service that I will just be glad to be shot of this awful company. I have almost certainly lost thousands of pounds in revenue and had my company name damaged because of my poor site reliability so if you are thinking of signing up with Daily Internet or any other Paragon Company I would think again ... you can find much better.

Total Incompetence , Took Down 20 Of My Websites For Days

I had to try to redirect 20 of my websites because daily.co.uk got bought out and moved sites , they said it would take 12 hours but it took 36 as to then all of my 40 websites were not up and visible to my customers . When things are running i leave them alone , but they come along every now and again and start messing with everything and then my business goes to hell like now.I had no Business enquiries for 3 days where as i usually get 10 to 15 a day . This Company will not compensate you they have now taken down 20 of my sites when i told them not to , this is obviously done on purpose , more money lost ,time to soo them for £6000 loss of Business. dont use tis service unless you are desperate Colin Bowen Gas and Elec PS the sites Pictures and framework and getting thinhgs to sit properly are rubbish

Value For Money

Always Reliable Been With Them For 6 Years

I have been with Daily Internet Services for 6 years now, and I have always found them very reliable. The billing system is easy to use (I have always been invoiced correctly for web domains, e-shop and email), the software is very simple to use for running the website, and has excellent reliability.

Customer service is good as well, they have support by email, I had a query last month and everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently, they are one of the most competitive on the market.

If you are looking to run a website hosted by a competitively priced Company I can only recommend them, but again it depends on what services / levels of support you require, but for our business Daily have been excellent throughout the last 6 years.

I Own .gasandelec.and For Months It Keeps Going Of

I own .gasandelec.and for months it keeps going off and they say there is nothing wrong with it internally but i need it seen externally , i have lost thousands in revenue because of these clowns .

We're really sorry to hear about your problems with your site.

Our teams have had a lot of correspondence with you, as our platforms have all been running optimally and your site is resolving fine (along with others on the same platform). We've tested this multiple times internally, externally and across multiple browsers and gone through our server logs with a fine tooth comb.

We don't doubt that you are seeing these problems, but they will be external to anything on our network. Please note that we have asked you to provide some further details so we can assist further (specific error messages you're seeing, your IP address etc.) but these haven't been forthcoming.

We'll do whatever we can to get a customer's website running, even if that's working on issues with your ISP or home/office network - but when it is external then we do need you to meet us half way.

Give us a call or drop us an email and we'll happily assist if you can respond to some of our requests.

As been said before as well, a great resource when you are seeing a problem on any site

Daily Internet

I use Daily as mainly a third party email for clients. I have been very satisfied overall and have never experienced any real breaks in service. I needed help setting up certain mailboxes and the staff there were very helpful and understanding of those with a more limited understanding than them.

If I had any very small criticism I would say that they probably need to set up a live chat or a forum so solutions are more readily available but overall it is good value for money. The knowledge base could also do with a bit of updating.

Overall I would recommend this service for its value for money and the patience and attentiveness of its staff.

Excellent Unpatronising Help.

My request for help was responded to quickly and effectively. I have a lot of trouble understanding what people are talking about when they talk about computers and websites. The help I was given was really useful as they explained everything and did what I needed to do that I still didn't understand.

Best Support Ever!

I've used other reseller hosting companies but Daily is by far the best. I've used them now for over 4 years and have transferred all my customers Daily hosting.

I'm not the most technically minded but Daily support has never failed me. They've gone out of their way to explain things and always been very patient and thorough.

My latest issue was a crashed Wordpress site after updating plugins. I spent hours searching forums and trying various fixes and turned to Daily as a last resort. Within hours the site was back up and running after one of the support team established there had been a conflict with the htaccess file. He uploaded the default Wordpress htaccess file and the site was back up and running.

Considering this is third party software I feel Daily goes beyond normal hosting levels of support and they've alleviated a whole load of stress I was experiencing with other companies.

Daily's Customer Service

A quick review to say how pleased I am with Daily, and in particular their customer service.

I have been a customer of theirs for a number of years now and never had reason to complain. I have bought many domains with them and all at very reasonable cost.

Recently I was trying to setup the email forwarding to suit my requirements but I was struggling to make it work, so I turned to Daily for help. It soon became apparent what I wanted to do wasn't possible, but the helpful and cheery staff explained how it all worked and suggested a 'workaround' that ultimately gave me exactly what I wanted.

What was really amazing was their speedy responses, we had a good few emails backwards and forwards, to get it resolved, and all in the same day ...and on a Sunday!!

From my initial mail I really didn't expect anything till at least the Monday but it was all sorted later that night.

Thanks Daily, from a happy customer!
