This site is pretty useless for me as I found nothing but rudeness there. Like the guy before me said "I thought stack overflow was bad' this is even worse. When I decide to delete my account I find that they 'don't do that'!!! They say just never log back in. How stupid is that. No wonder they can claim a ridiculous number of users... the disallow anyone from ever leaving.The arrogance is astounding over there.

My advice is NEVER JOIN this site.

It seems like a great site. At least, it has the potential to be a great site. Unfortunately, it seems some of the mods on dreamincode.net appear to have inferiority complexes. At least some of them feel the need to berate and belittle others for their own gratification.

I thought Stack Overflow was a bit uptight, but S.O. seems downright pleasant and friendly in comparison to dreamincode.net .

This could just be the case of a few bad apples spoiling the bunch. Whatever it is, some of their mods need to go to charm school.

I'm just ask how the code work, not I want them help me translate the code, I already google everything and don't find anything help if I find the answer I wouldn't ask them.. Some of country even haven't have local source for some programming languange, to buy international book for some people they can't afford it and the only way they can learning are from internet.. So please don't be like that..

I was on this web site and it appeared to be a good resource. I saved the link and went back to it a few weeks later and my PC was infected by malware. Major damage was done causing a reinstall of OS. Maybe more. PC is still in the shop.

The first time I used dreamincode.net it worked out just fine. I found a person who was willing to help me. However, fast forward a few months and the second time I try to post asking for an example on how to do something and showing my code I receive and answer with in 15 minutes that they will not do my homework for me and that I should look it up online and that it is to outdated. If I am asking for help don't they think that I have been looking online for help! I have been looking for three days and have contacted my instructor. All I asked for was an EXAMPLE! Not the program to be written for me.:(

I posted a thread simply asking on how to write a counter for a program (novice programmer) and one of the HEAD guys on the website deleted my post on the basis of me asking them to do my homework. So i posted it again, but with a little more detail, and he deletes it again, saying i didnt provide a question, i dont think 70 characters is enough space to ask a question regarding some situations. very rude, and unhelpful.

value wise, its crap. free. you get what you pay for, i guess.

How can people not rate this 5 stars for value for money when it 100% free?!

It is not a site that will do your homework for you, but it is a site full of people who are willing to help you learn for free - in their OWN TIME. What more can you ask for?

I really like the Dream In Code site and I think it is a great place to get answers on all sorts of programming languages. I definitely recommend this site to anyone who is looking for help (not just a solution). Super fast responses, great helpers, knowledgeable people (Especially Martyr2) and tons of content. Only bad point is sometimes the regular members go a bit off topic

I love this site. Tons of content, great staff, helpful and fast responses. Plus they have cheat sheets, tons of snippets and tutorials, plus awesome people on site.

www.dreamincode.net - I felt as though I couldn't get my question answered unless I showed a whole lot of work. Even when I couldn't get started, they told me to read the rules and show them my source code (Which I had no idea of how to get)It seemed I could not make more that 5 posts without other posters calling me an idiot or making fun of me.When I submitted a tutorial or snippet, it took them a month to do anything with it.I feel as though people who shouldn't get promoted get higher positions, and the people that actually do something are apparently ignored.
