I had similar experience with business search local. I paid them to do some SEO on my website and they promised me top page google in 8 weeks based on 2 local search terms or a money back guarantee!!...They failed to deliver on both counts...this company lie!!!

I have been asked by management to reply to this complaint, I was one of the designers who worked on your site.

What I'm going to do is break down your complaint into sections and answer accordingly.

"We are a company that's was sold a website through business search local at a cost of £750.00 plus vat. We were told we would own the website." - Bio Clean Jetting

"Our company decided to move hosting to find out business search local now request another payment. Saying they own the copyright." - Bio Clean Jetting

May I remind you that you were offered a choice of website packages, one which is where you would own outright the complete copyright of the entire website, source code included. This is a choice you didn't opt to take and decided to go for the cheaper version knowing full well that the source code would be Business Search Locals intellectual property. The terms and conditions of all packages are clearly stated on our website and we also send all customers a link to these terms on all invoices on top of this we make recordings of every contract we engage in and you were sent a copy as all customers are.

You choose to split the payment into two installements one on the same day you engaged into a contract with Business Search Local and the other when the website was completed which was circa 21/7/2011 but you did not pay the second installement until the 15/8/2011 one month late which we then allowed the monthly optimisation fee to be put back to the 15/9/2011. We did not recive any monthly payments for SEO until 13/4/2012 (7 months late) and the next month you cancelled the service complaining about us??

"After 12 months they let us down doing the SEO work by not performing." - Bio Clean Jetting

We had to chase you for your first monthly payment which was due when you were on the first page, it took us around 7 months to try and get the correct details for this service which you then subsequently cancelled the following month, so your Search Engine Optimisation lasted really only one month as you cancelled the service not allowing us enough time to complete the needed work.
