I was trying to find some old movies released before 1950s not only in the USA but in other countries too. I needed not only the information but possibility to purchase or to download movies. The search process was not an easy one and while the search engines give many links only few of them are worth to pay attention to.

Before registering with Filmous.com I explored the site and when I realized that it offers what I was looking for I decided to create an account, put some credits and download movies. Considering that I had to watch movies for writing a thesis, I didn't have really a choice. The site looks neat and I was hooked by its simple yet informative and accurate design.

As for the site itself it decently performs its main function - so far I haven't had any problems with downloading movies in all formats they offer - HD, DivX, iPad and iPhone. I think that if you love watching movies, both old and new this site is kinda OK, it's not better than others, it's not worse, may be it lacks some "social thing" - you can't comment on films or communicate with other members, the only thing you can is to find and download movies. I find it reasonable - you come and take what you want. I think some of you will find it even useful for the web as the number of social networks or web 2.0. services is terribly big.
