I ordered a phone from PhoneBoxDirect , arrived quickly but that is expected from all companies. The problems started when they refused to give cashback on the basis that i filled out the claim form incorrectly. Luckily i had photocopied the form before i sent it and the reason they gave was that i didnt write the correct order number, which i checked i did from the photocopy. They refused to believe it and then said it has been over 30 days since we should have received your claim and now you wont get it! Terrible customer service. Stay away

I do not recommend Phone box direct! I took out two contracts with them and they have not yet payed cashback, they stalled the process even though I had sent my claim forms in on time, and later I discover they have gone into administration! I am almost £1,000 out of pocket and it seems the administrators are not likely to pay out either!

A great outfit as long as you insure everything you send to them. Make sure all cashbacks are sent recorded delivery with 'consequential loss'. This is an interesting service offered by Royal Mail where if it is not signed for by phoneboxdirect, the post off will cough up. INfact by doing this you are forcing phoneboxdirect's hand on paying out. It is possible that if you don't do this they may deny receiving your claim but I have never had a problem. Good luck to them I say.

If you do decide to buy a phone with them, make sure you read the terms and conditions thoroughly and always send your cashback claims by recorded delivery.

They say they have not received my cashback claim. I have proof of posting and they still refuse to honour my cashback claim. They have also denied my husbands claim. They are saying they have not received the mail and it is the fault of the Royal Mail. They hide behind the terms & conditions saying they recommend you send the claim recorded delivery. They are using this reason of not receiving post for all claims and of course if they do not pay one claim, you cannot claim any further for the whole time, thus negating on the whole cashback deal.

I do not recommend PhoneBoxDirect.

The t&c you sign up to says "Amending Terms

We reserve the right to amend these terms at anytime."

By my reckoning they can change the T&C to say we will not give you cash back

Avoid at all costs !
