This Is A Rather Generic Overview Of The Whole Of

This is a rather generic overview of the whole of X-BOX LIVE especially when using a 360.

Well, I took the plunge and went onto X-box 360 LIVE the other night.

After several years of playing Medal of Honor on line via my PC, I thought I would see what all the fuss was about.

Put simply, it's excellent. The initial set up was easy (having spent a small fortune on the Wireless adaptor) and I was soon running around the Marketplace, where you can downloads loads of free stuff..including full LIVE playable demos (free for a 1 GIG size demo is amazing).. Trailers including that fabulous one for Gears of War...additional maps... etc etc ....

Logging in to and finding matches was easy..and as for running your own game.. that couldn,t be any simpler.. not matter which game you play on it.

Another thing... the teamspeak and private chat.. again so easy, and If you had problems with Teamspeak via your PC ...this is soo much better....

And being able to invite players... send emails... finding out whose on line.... it's all been done brilliantly. WELL DONE MICROSOFT !!

Drawbacks?

One. Cost. You get one month of free Gold membership...which you must have to play... then you have to pay. Silver membership lets you into the Marketplace..but you can't play the games.

Oh yeah.. £69.99 for the Wireless adaptor?! Come on!

Overall and fabulously easy, fun addictive and highly polished portal.. Brilliant ! Now Just sort out the prices!!!

I agree, brilliant, but the financial extras are a bit excessive, hopefully these costs may come down as competitors get involved in this format of gaming.
