Varadero, Hotel Internacional

My husband and I traveled to the Internacional in March 2006.

Never have I been to a more beautiful and relaxing place. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean and very big. We were given an ocean view room... the view is so beautiful. There is quite a mix of people from Russia, Europe and Canada. The hotel is quiet at night, mostly middle aged folks, so definately not a party zone. The staff are very friendly. We can't wait to see them again. Were going back Jan 2008. I can hardly wait.

Buffet restaurant for breakfast was a bit boring, but lots to choose from. We usually had lunch at the Hotel Internacional pool bar/grill. Hamburgers, sandwiches, fries, ice cream etc. very good. For dinner we ate at the Universal and Italian restaurants both good with lots of choices. We had an oceanview room with fabulous view. There seemed to be lots of security on the beach and in the hotel. Bar staff were friendly and all drinks were excellent. The lobby and patio area had lots of comfy furniture and garden swings. So nice to relax in and enjoy the ocean view.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Internacional very much, everything way very clean and the staff was great. We plan on going back next year for another 2 weeks

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It is old and has alot of character.

We were not impressed by this hotel.

The bath was mouldy so it wasn't very pleasant to have a shower. The ceiling in the bedroom was mouldy. The toilets in the hotel lobby were dirty. We had to pay 2 dolars per day each to lay on one of the sunchears on the beach which belong to the hotel. If you want coffee, you have to pay separately for milk!

We were lucky that we stayed there just a week.
