GE Electric dryer. Purchased the dryer on 2/19/12. On 10/11/12 the "button" to start the dryer broke. Warranty fixed it....plastic piece broke off. On 10/23/14 it broke again. We had purchased the extended warranty! So warranty paid for it again! Thinking we had it made now with two repairs we were good to go! Part was back ordered!~ Must be an on going problem with this particular item! Ya think? Now here we are 6/27/15 and yup guess what? It is broken again! Only this time out extended warranty has expired! Now I call , and was told the warranty has expired, and that the replacement part is only warrantied for 30 days! Why would GE use a plastic part on a button that has the potential of being used every day? Something that obviously, can break easily? I realize this is a throw away society and things aren't built to last, but seriously! I would like GE to replace this part......with something that will last!
