We did this tour and it was great!. Such wealth of knowledge and pleasant ride along with 4 others. He made it so interesting and answered all our questions. He is a very invested tour guide. His approach to please and inform goes well beyond his call of duty. Great personality and explained every aspect of the tour with such professionalism. Hopefully more tour guides should learn from him. Overall a great tour with beautiful scenic views of the iconic Peggy's Cove. We enjoyed everything.

“2 day Trek Tour Morroco”

We just come back from Morroco where we took a 2 day tour to the desert. We left Casablanca and drove to Zagora for a camel ride and overnight camp. We paid $1,700 canadian dollars,(2 days) well overpriced. We were supposed to have a driver and an English speaking guide. The driver spoke NO english, and the driver barely could communicate with us; we drove for 11 hours; guide could not explain anything about the culture, the different towns we pass trough, nothing at all; it was a terrible experience.We learn nothing about Morroco. The camel ride and the overnight camp in the desert was beautiful; once in a lifetime everyone should do. The next morning we were left to wait for an hour on the side of the road, our van was late to pick us up. We drove back to Casablanca, this time it took only 8 hours. They stop in Marrakesh for 20 minutes, and gave us time to barely have lunch; they were in a rush to get back to Casablanca. Once we arrive to Casablanca, they were lost and could not find our hotel(the same one they picked us up from) we drove around the city for 1 hour or more, both of them arguing in arabic about google maps. The guide told us that he did not have a License, he was a student; he sat in the back of the van because he was not allowed to seat in the front in certain areas. We did not understand what was going on. We were very dissapointed; we expected a great service and a great experience.

“Stranded at the airport ”

After I made the reservation, they send me details of airport pickup including driver info. 6 hours before pickup time, the driver started texting me and asking me for additional cash money $35, then I called customer service and literally was on the phone for 2 hours plus, they were so called trying to fix it, at the end they told you either pay him extra or we can cancel your trip with full refund, I chose cancel and my family was stranded at the airport port.

“This mob deserve a no star review”

I am only giving this mob one star simply because review centre does not give the option of no star. When booking a tour of Macau the following important information is provided: Important Information Departure Point Traveler pickup is offered At time of booking, kindly select pick up point: 09:40 am - Sofitel Macau 09:45 am - Grand Emperor Hotel 09:55 am - Holiday Inn Macau 10:30 am - Taipa Ferry Terminal Hotel pickup and drop-off (selected hotels only) Exclusions Hotel pickup and drop-off for guests staying at hotels other than those listed as eligible As such we went to the hotel we selected (the Holiday Inn Macau) and for some inexplicable reason they expect me to be on the lookout for an email from the tour operator claiming we will be picked up from a hotel not shown on that list. Not only that but they then want to get into an argument and refuse a refund as we were deemed to be a "no show", despite the fact that we waited at our selected pick up point for 20 minutes after the selected pick up time

“Think TWICE!”

Please read if you are considering using this tour group for Barcelona!! For $310 for two people, on a hot day in Barcelona, this tour group should have offered cold water to its' customers, although sadly, we've learned that many tour groups here don't supply water. Eight hours in the heat, often with no shade, and you had to run off and buy water at a local stand, and then wait for others in the group to do the same. After an hour of touring, our group had to wait about 20 minutes mid-stream to accommodate about 4 more customers who apparently were late and didn't arrive at the time they were suppose to @ the meeting spot. One of those persons was disabled, so it took quite a long time to tend to their needs. Why should the rest of us have to wait because other people were late and weren't organized?? On the instructions and information offered, Viator stresses how important it is you show up on time. Those late should be charged, as per their rules, and be a "no show." Secondly, when you booked through Viator, they provide information on what should be worn during the tour -- there were dress code requirements -- no shorts below mid-thigh, and shirts had to cover the shoulders. Then, you arrive at the tour, and everyone is wearing sleeveless shirts and short shorts. When I asked the tour operator, they indicated that they weren't aware of any dress requirements. Really?!! I made my poor husband wear long pants, and he was suffering all day. They should have their information posted properly, and communicate with their vendors properly! The tour itself was "OK," and our tour guide, Miguel, worked hard along with our driver. Honestly, we wouldn't recommend this tour -- on the DAY OF the tour, the tickets were $91/pp versus the $150/pp we paid. Just not worth the $ and there are other ways to see the City with more comfort and organization.

“Gibraltar Day Tour May 2019”

The tour wasn't bad, got to see Europa Point and St. Michael's Cave, but we returned to Seville at 6:30 p.m. Why didn't we stay an hour longer and have an opportunity to ride the cable car for more photos? Or, for that matter visit one or more of the interior caves in the Rock? This tour is for people who want to shop and maybe get a photo with the monkeys/apes. IF you want a more historical tour that spends some quality time away from the shops and cruise visitors, then might be best to go elsewhere. I think Viator should give more information about what exactly you are going to see so the consumer can make a more informed decision. Am thinking that I will have to return one day to see what I thought I was getting here. Too bad, wasted opportunity and life is too short for that.

“GREAT SERVICE with a little concern ”

This is the second time I have used Viator for airport transfers. the first time last year for Krakow - brilliant, on time everything was spot on, from the airport to hotel and back.We had a pick up time for going back from Hotel to airport. Excellent drivers etc. We booked through them again for Paris. We had to cancel but were refunded within 24 hours, no problems. We booked for Prague. Dear picking up at airport than going back, probably due to airport charges - no problem. Everything great again. They were waiting as we left the arrivals area. Coming back from the hotel however although I had confirmation about the pick up and had the ticket I was given no pick up time. We were leaving in the afternoon and had time to kill. Luckily we went back to the hotel for the luggage early. The driver turned up early. My only concern with not having a confirmation on pickup time we may have been later back and the taxi gone. However would definitely use again, very good drivers, very professional and cars good.

“terrible customer service”

Tried to book a tour and it wasn't available thru the website so I purchased a similar tour. When I called I was told the tour I originally wanted was available, but that I would have to wait 3-7 business days to get a refund and pay for the tour I wanted NOW!!! They wouldn't exchange it for me. They wouldn't accommodate me at all. DONT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEIR RETURN POLICY IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!

“DONT BOOK WITH VIATOR!”

Viator doesn't care about their customers and will always take the opposing side when it comes to the bookings problems that may come your way. We are currently on vacation and had booked a few tours with Amigo Tour, but we already started our vacation with a major headache because of them. Our tour itinerary stated that we were to meet our guide at this one checkpoint at 9am. It stated that the guide would arrive early at 845am so we showed up at 830am to make sure we didnt miss him/her. Needless to say he/she failed to show up on time and by 920am we were already fed up on waiting on him/her. Of course, we asked around to see if anyone had seen the guide and everytime we got the same response from everyone we asked which was, "oh yeah the Amigo Tour guide is usually late". We called Amigo Tour several times before and after 9am but got no response. Even the employees of the Castle Of Chapultepec, which was the tour site,said the same thing about this agency. There were several people waiting there for the guide besides us. After we decided to do the tour ourselves with no guide, we decided to call the tour agency again. This time we got ahold of them and instead of trying to understand our situation they started to call us liars claiming the guide was there at 845am which of course wasnt the case. We spent 2hours arguing with the agency demanding a refund, since it wasnt our fault that the guide was not on time to meet us for our tour. The agency had the nerve to confirm that sometimes the guide could possibly arrive a little late and that we should of waited longer for him/her. We got so fed up with arguing with the agency that we decided to cancel all our tours for the week that we had booked through Viator. Amigo Tours told us that if we wanted a refund that we would have to find the guide there and he/she would issue us a refund but the guide was nowhere to be found after 40minutes of looking. We contacted Viator directly via email after several failed attempts with the tour agency to get a refund, but Viator sided with the agency instead of with us. They flat out told us that we were liars and that they contacted the agency and of course they denied any wrong doing on their part. Viator then told us in that email that it was our fault for not showing up and that they would not give us a refund and thanked us for understanding. We got no support whatsoever from Viator not even a possibility of an investigation!! We of course emailed them back telling them that since Viator is not willing to investigate that we will contact American Express directly and file a complaint for that fraudulent service that we received and if we have to we will proceed further to prevent all charges against us for the week. After we contacted American Express we received an email from Viator stating that they would show good will by refunding us $75 out of $600 for that one day tour. Really?!!! Yeah no!!! They dont care about their customers and will pocket your money unless you act against them!

Wow Wow what a day spent with Fabrizio. This man has an exceptional knowledge of Pompeii. His articulate presentation of this historic site is amazing. There is no way my husband and myself would have gained the experience, appreciation and knowledge of this tour without the guidance of Fabrizio. His English is exceptional and organizational skills for the tour are tailored to your personal requirements. Our tour along the Amalfi Coast just as memorable with various stops and explanations of the different passing regions. Highly recommend this tour and to have Fabrizio as driver and tour guide. Purchase this trip on the exceptional recommendations on previous customer recommendations.

“Rome Tour”

We booked a private tour of Rome with Viator. The experience was awesome. We were on a cruise ship and were to meet the private driver at port. I was a little worried in case he didn’t show up. But there he was holding a paper with my name. His name was URI from Naples, Italy. We were escorted to his clean van. He then took us from the port of Civitivechia to Rome. It took about 1 hour. As we approached Rome he told us some history behind certain things we past. I am so glad we had someone take us to Rome, because it was so crowded. It would have difficult only having 1 day to find everything we wanted to see. He took us to a spot in Rome to meet with our tour guide. Then the fun began! This woman was amazing! Not only did we see; The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Coloseum, The Vatican, it’s museum, Sistine chapel, and it’s caticombs, The Forum. She told us the quick history on all of it and hidden secrets and interesting items that most tour guides wouldn’t mention. I saw other tour groups and felt sorry for them because they wouldn’t have seen half of what we saw. She was a very fast walker knew exactly what was the quickest way to get to where we needed to go. We would meet the driver a few times for him to drop us off at certain spots. We had the fast pass for the Coloseum and The Vatican which we paid our tour guide for at the end of our tour. We tipped her between the four of us $90 euros which we didn’t have to, but she was so good she deserved it. We gave URI the driver $50. Euro. The tour lasted about 6 hours including lunch which we paid for. The price we paid for 4 people was $400. less expensive than other well known excursion companies. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again!

“servives listed were not delivered as advertised”

we joined a small group day tour on April 7 in Beijing. It was meant for a cultural tour in Hutong of tai chi, Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, clay making, opera mask painting and a lunch at a local family. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and amazing but this was the only good part of this tour. we had a hour of tai chi and was great. But the part concerning the calligraphy to opera mask painting was a joke! No one was there to teach us. our tour guide was practicing with us when we were only given the paper and ink to write. Paper cutting was just a pre-drawn cutout, no explanation. Clay making was worst as the woman at the house was trying to make a tiny tiny black panda we had no idea of! Then there was no mask painting, we were just given mask already painted as a gift and the guy could not even tell some color meant! We did not feel it was a cultural lesson at all but rather someone just put us in a tiny room to do some trivial activities quickly. lunch was ok but we thought we were there for a family lunch so expected to see more interactions. All in all, we paid a lot of money for this tour but we are very disappointed of what we got. Aviator, this is not a cultural tour of Hutong or china, you shame yourself by letting this kind of standard operate or continue! I don't believe what you advertise anymore as they are not true! I am so upset as I planned this tour for my husband he has never been to China, but today, it was a joke to him!

“Software bug can change tour date without notice.”

When booking a tour through Viator selected desired date and confirmed it was still available. Booked and paid for the tour for that date. However when confirmation came through it was for the following day. Called immediately and was told they can’t change the date, to try to work it out with the provider myself. I know this was Viator’s error because it happened twice in a row and the second time I was extremely careful to be sure the date selected was correct. Hope this helps others. Take screen shots, especially perhaps if using their mobile version, so you have proof. Not sure even with proof they will improve the customer support. I’ll never book through them again because of this.

“Ostrich customer service”

Worst customer service when I contacted them after a tour in Rome. No follow up at all and on hold for hours. I would compare them to an ostrich sticking their head in the sand to ignore an issue.

“Can't Cancel!”

I tried reaching them with no return call. They internet add for Alcatraz is false info and you cannot cancel and get a refund. You think you cancel and yet they will not honor their own refund policy when you find out what you booked was not what it really is. Do NOT trust them they will not do the right thing.  I wished I had check reviews before wasting my time and energy trying to book a tour. Will NEVER use them again EVER!

“Two Thumbs Way Down”

I cannot give a low enough review. This is the only negative review about any business I can recall taking the time to compose. I made an on line tour reservation of Washington DC and almost immediately realized we would not be able to attend the time I mistakenly chose. I called VIATOR immediately. Within mins of my reservation. I explained everything. I asked for a refund. They refused to refund my money. Ridiculous! Of course it took 3 phone calls to seek the refund. They made the process onerous and then denied the refund. AVOID VIATOR AT ALL COSTS.

“Testrerverde food tour”

Read the description of this tour and it seemed good. $168 for two of us. We were terribly disappointed. Our guide was very entertaining but the foodie part was so bad we left before the last two stops . First stop, sample a few different kinds of cheese. Small pieces. Then on to a Baccala tasting Basically deep fried cod. One piece and glass of cheap wine. Tasted terrible. Third stop a small slice of cheese pizza. Nothing to drink. Then we went to a Bruschette shop good bread terrible toppings. The guide announced the next stop was a bowl of spaghetti to be followed by a visit to a Gelato shop. We chose not to continue. You could tell from the faces and body language or of the others on the group they were not enthused at all. Total waste of time and money.

“STOLE MY MONEY”

 I was in San Diego with my mum for a trip .. we decided to go to Mexico for a day so booked about 21 hours in advance through Viator ... Money was taken from my account $300 Australian dollars... i got a confirmation email and it said confirmed once i finished the booking. I put my address down on the website. The email said to confirm address with the booking company 48 hours before. Now how can i confirm a booking with a company 48 hours before when i booked it 22 hours before. Oh and they took my money before any booking was actually confirmed in that place. So i ring the company they wont pick me p an state they have no address for me even though i specifically wrote my address down. The company was zero help and Viator keep putting me on hold and giving me wishy washy emails putting any actual response off.

“Viator - Never Again! Pathetic customer service”

I would recommend not to use viator. I booked a ticket from viator.com and now I am suffering with the lead travelers name change, when I booked they said they will be able to change lead travelers name at the later date but now they are not supporting. Their checkout page suggest, "For security purposes the lead traveler's name must match the name on the credit card used for this booking, and the credit card used for this booking must be presented at the time of travel and/or redemption. If the lead traveler/card holder is not traveling, that is OK but you must contact our customer care staff after completing the purchase to request a change." I have emailed them several times but no reply whatsoever. Seems like trip-advisor is ruining its own reputation. NEVER EVER VIATOR OR TRIPADVISOR.

“Dresden day trip tour from Berlin”

Tour promised two hour bus ride from Berlin to Dresden, turned out to be three hours there, 2.6 hours back. Felt like the driver was instructed to take it slow going there to minimize the time guide had to spend with us. Tour guide had knowledge of some history and landmarks but obviously no personal knowledge of the city, like he had memorized the Cliff Notes on Dresden. Guide was dressed shabbily and seemed to have a hard time keeping his pants up. Following him around the city, I quickly became tired of seeing his underwear/lower back. Arriving in the city, we began the tour without ear buds or any map or guide of the city (I purchased a city map at an information center which he failed to direct anyone to). After just over an hour of walking around a few beautiful sites, Guide ended the tour at a museum complex, told us this was the place to see, that there was food nearby, and promptly left everyone to fend for themselves.
