We did a 3-day tour from Fez to Marrakech that was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip through Morocco. What amazing vistas we came across. From the magnificent Ziz & Todra gorge, to wonderful camel rides on sand dunes, to counting shooting stars in the desert and the historical Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.

Admittedly there are plenty of guides out there to choose from but we are so glad we found Omar! He is informative, extremely punctual, very professional and has a big heart (talk to him and you’ll know what we mean). He was certainly most attentive to safety on the road and looked out for us throughout our tour with him, making sure we were at the right tourist site at the right time for the perfect shot for our cameras. He went out of his way to show us good hospitality including buying us dates from Erfoud to show us what the best dates in Morocco tasted like…and he was right, they were amazing! But mostly, what set him apart from previous tours we’ve joined is that he has a clear and close affinity with his people in the Merzouga region and it was great watching him interact with his friends in the area as we travelled around.
