“better than disney by far”

Written on: 06/01/2013 by dashl (1 review written)

we've visited portaventura twice now and stayed in the portaventura hotel, we plan a trip back there this year too. i love this hotel, rooms are clean with a MASSIVE bed for wondering youngsters who wont stay in their beds. the food is fantastic and such a wide range to choose from. i love that its right on the doorstep of both parks. the last time we went was in august so the park was open til midnight, this is fab because we spent the hot sunny days on the beach rather than queuing for rides… Read Full Review

Written on: 07/07/2012 by gadgetmanfrank (1 review written)

I have just come back from the el paso on the 4th july 12 after 4 fantastic days. The food was brill ,I am like a kid in a sweet shop when it comes to the food ,lots off different food, cakes, there was alot of alcohol that was free, soft drinks ,coffee at all the bars, ice cream,if you wanted crisps or a magnum it was only 80c to a euro. The staff were very nice,. as soon as you plate was empty they had it cleared away, any rubbish that hit the ground bearly hit the ground and it was swept up.After… Read Full Review

“Great for family holidays with young children”

Written on: 28/06/2012

I went to PortAventura in May with my husband and four children (aged 2 - 8). We were researching for quite some time, a holiday that would be perfect for all of us and we came across PortAventura Holidays. We were thrilled to find out the facilities and activities available at the park, as well as being able to cater our own requirements. We stayed in the bungalows at Hotel Gold River for its self catering facilities. The hotel also had 2 swimming pools as well as one for kids. The theme park… Read Full Review

“Young Families Only”

Written on: 28/06/2012

7 day all-inc (my 1st and last!), 2A, 2Teens June 12. Hotel : oldest self-contained in PVA chain. Located : remote from Salou, before theme park. If hot, walk to Salou advised for Lawrence of Arabia only. hotel bus (free - limited), Salou 'road train' costly. Taxi 8E each way. Hotel: outside ok, inside worn/tired/jaded stained upholstery, carpets. Room: basic and generally 'tired'. Clenliness : Good, but on closer inspection, actually questionable. Staff: Good Meals: Good, but El Coyote… Read Full Review

“Most Awsome holiday”

Written on: 14/06/2012 by Bel05 (1 review written)

Myself, my husband and 3 daughters have just returned from the most amazing holiday. We went to the same hotel we stayed in 8years ago and it was fantastic. The water park was loads of fun and huge last time it was only half open as out of season so this time was wow. We have quite a range of ages 17,15 and 6 and all of them had a blast, it nice now that they have a section in the park for the younger ones to access. I used this site this time as it was so much cheaper than using the travel… Read Full Review

“Brilliant for group holidays”

Written on: 08/06/2012

I recently went to PortAventura in a large group of 18. As you can imagine booking flights, transfers and accommodation for us all could be a nightmare, but to my delight it was a breeze! I booked with PortAventura Holidays but realised I could not book that many people online, so decided to call them instead. As I dreaded the long wait for the phone call to be answered, I was pleasantly greeted by a friendly voice who answered promptly. She was very helpful and told me all I needed to know… Read Full Review

“Portaventura Trip review - not to be missed! 12th May”

Written on: 06/06/2012

I stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend in early May 2012, and I really enjoyed it here. The theme park is very large with so much to do, it was difficult to try and see it all! So many shows, attractions and different areas to visit. My favourite ride in the park had to be Shambala, a brand new, ridiculously tall 250 ft roller coaster which starts off with a ridiculously steep drop going into a spiral of twists and turns. It usually results in grown men holding on for dear… Read Full Review

“Fun Thrills again!”

Written on: 06/06/2012 by bexibabe (2 reviews written)

This was my second trip to PortAventura booked through PortAventura Holidays who seemed to have the best prices - again. We were a group of adults but we ran around the park like big kids enjoying a few beers along the way. The rides are amazing - Furious Baco and Shambala were my faves, even the Sesamo area for kids was worth a look! We were a bit unlucky with the weather, which was a shame as really enjoyed relaxing by the pool last year. I think I'd go back to Gold River over Hotel… Read Full Review

“Holiday with Teenagers!”

Written on: 26/10/2011 by dav4a1 (1 review written)

10 days at El Paso with 4 teenagers! Loads to do and the Parks so close by! Friendly staff in a great location. All Inc Drinks and Poolside food were great but the nightly fare gets a bit boring though it is good, and the A La Carte is a big disappointment as should be a holiday highlight. Rooms are functional but could be better. Staff are friendly but wish there was more poolside activities and sports as even the kids need a change from the Park. Would recommend for active and fun loving… Read Full Review

“Hotel El Paso PortAventura ”

Written on: 10/10/2011 by Lorns (1 review written)

We went to Hotel El Paso in September with Portadventura Holidays. It is an official PortAdventura Hotel. The hotel was amazing. We found it great value for money as it is an All Inclusive hotel. Huge variety of food, snacks and drinks. I found myself eating ridiculous amounts of food but, what are holidays for!! The hotel pool was so large I could not get the entire pool in a photo just sections of each part. The children's pool has a large boat in it. The two snack bars beside the… Read Full Review

“Amazing! A reveiw By my daughter”

Written on: 07/10/2011 by NEVE020700 (1 review written)

I went to portadventura in May of this year with my dad. We stayed in Hotel Caribe where ALL the staff were amazingly kind and always smiling, which I think all workers should be like put in other places I have stayed (not portadventura) that was not the case. I believe that staff should be warm and helpful, like in hotel caribe, so that the guests feel warm and happy and this was how I felt every day in or holiday. Once we had checked into he hotel we found out that our room was not ready… Read Full Review

“fantastic holiday......”

Written on: 06/10/2011 by steves50 (1 review written)

stayed in the port aventura hotel, really clean hotel, friendly staff and a huge room. loved the easy access to the park...and although my 'children ' are grown up ( 22 &25) there was lots too see and do. had great fun on all of the rides especially the furious baca!! The only thing that was disappointing was no shuttle into Salou, it made for a long walk there and back! I have already recommended it to a couple of friends with younger chilren as a great place to visit. thanks for the memories… Read Full Review

“Recent stay in Portaventura”

Written on: 06/10/2011 by markhallam27 (1 review written)

Ive recently come back from Portaventura and stayed all inclusive at the El Paso themed hotel. It was a great week. I took my two teenage daughters who loved it as well and never got bored. Hotel was very nice and the food was excellent. Thought the rooms were a bit small and paper thin walls but apart from that had a brilliant time. Dont let the room bother you though, you wont be in it long enough for it to spoil the time. Theme park was great fun… Read Full Review

“Hotel Caribe”

Written on: 05/10/2011 by meemo1990 (1 review written)

We went back in June 2011 in a group of 5 of us in our 20's, and stayed at the hotel Caribe with unlimited park tickets, even for June the temp was 25c+. plenty of food choice(definitely book with breakfast buffet), bars, and pools including a sand bottom pool and volley ball court all in the hotel alone. As well as Salou town only a 10 min walk away (I recommend the Titanic if you eat out). The park was 5 min walk away or a free mini train on the more lazy days.. a great perk was the fast… Read Full Review
