The Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa Offered So

The Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa offered so much and delivered so little. We had been given a free upgrade to a Honeymoon suite with Butler service, which was a complete waste of money for those who pay. You do not need a Butler in any way shape or form. Located on the ground floor of the four floor suite block on the Bluff the brochure stated exceptional views of the ocean - not so! Nice views of the villas roof's between our suite and the sea though.

Golf course? Well not as we know them - Mandatory Caddie $5 for 9 holes, but unhappy when given a $5 tip! Still, it only took 1 hour to play 9 holes - gives you some idea of the course.

This resort was 98% full of Americans, and of them 95% were newly weds on their honeymoon, and the whole place was set up for them to whoop and holler their way through the day in response to the highly charged entertainment staff.

5 Star this definitely isn't. It's Butlins with butlers and sun. Spend your money elsewhere!!

Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa: This Was

Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa:

This was our fourth trip to the Caribbean in all inclusive resorts however our first trip to Sandals. Our designated room 100 did not have a balcony or veranda as we told by Virgin. We were moved to 510 which did have balcony however was also next to the loading bays and was noising from 04;45. We were offered a movr to The Grand and taken there (which was nicer however with only seven days and having already unpacked and repacked we decided to stay as The Regencey). There is a total of NINE umbrellas in the whole resort. They only open two bars during the day (one of which, the pool bar is "chocker block" all day). The food is at best average, steak is VERY poor (even the Japanese and French), if you wish to eat in either of these I suggest you book on the day you arrive.

The property is "shabby" and old fashioned (glasses from the night before are left lying around the next morning). To round everything off we were collected at 11-30 and arrived at the airport for 12-30 when our flight home was at 16-35.

We Had A Fantastic "weddingmoon" At Sandals Regenc

We had a fantastic "weddingmoon" at Sandals Regency. We loved the resort and had a fantastic trip. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and the resort was beautiful. We liked the ability to go back and for to the Grande. That place is equally impressive. We felt there was more "day life" at the Grande and more "night life" at the Regency. Going back and forth was like getting the best of both worlds. We can't wait to go back! Stay away from the Halycon, very small and unimpressive.
