One Of The Worst Hotels I've Ever Stayed At!
We arrived from out of province early, we attempted to check in early, but were unable because of the check in time - I assume because it is filled with tourist, any other hotel I've stayed at has always allowed an earlier check in. That was fine we got it. Once we were checked in we were informed that it would be 40.00 to park in their parking lot, that breakfast WASN'T included with our stay, even though we seemed to have what was a suite, and paid nearly 200.00 a night. Once we arrived in our room, we walked in, the lamp shade was crushed in, there were moisture bubbles under the wall paper, the bathroom tap was dripping continuously, we at last got to our room part, where the pillows seemed as if they had come from walmart they were horrible, the curtains were ripped, the carpet was lifting, the chairs were filthy, the desk was dirty all along the bottom, the blankets must have been 20 + years old, the only thing that was good was the falls, and if it were summer and the leaves were in full bloom there is no chance we would have been able to see the falls from our "falls view" room. We left our room to explore, and the entire parking lot was dirty, chairs and garbage from renos all along the parking lot at the side, runned down looking, just awful. The staff was unhappy, and uninviting, there was only ONE staff member on the second night we stayed there that greeted us as we walked in from the casino, he ACTUALLY smiled.
I think the worst thing was this hotel basically takes full advantage of the falls, and makes it out as if "well without us you wouldn't see the falls". I would have much rather stayed around clifton hill and walked down to the falls to view them at night.
My last complaint, the T.V's were from the 90's, their cable consisted of 13 channels that didn't even work, and we were told to PAY for movies when we complained, WIFI was not free either, go figure 10.00. Tourist from out of country take note, do not give your hard earned money to such a poor hotel that has no care about your stay. The falls are a wonder of the world, do not let any hotel ruin your stay - like they did ours.

The Niagara Falls Oakes Hotel Was Fantastic! We Go
The Niagara Falls Oakes Hotel was fantastic! We got a jacuzzi suite, and they had roses and chocolates waiting for us in the room when we got there. Everyone was friendly and courteous. It was fantastic.
