Costa Del Sol, Santana Golf Course

Staff not very welcoming. Santana golf course rediculously over priced. What a shame a nice enough course and flat enough to walk but the cost is simply too high.

Santana Golf Course is a decent golf course, easily walkable but massively overpriced.

The Santana Golf Course is a great course. The fairways and the greens are in excellent condition (end of feb 09). Even though some of the holes are on the short side - the greens are quite challenging - so handicappers at all levels are soundly tested . You can easily walk the course with a trolley. The surroundings are really breathtaking great course. The club house is small and modest - but if you come to play golf who caresThere is no driving rangeexcellent greens and fairways

Worth a visit to this course. Don't expect much at the club house. There is not enough sitting space on the veranda or the inside restaraunt. We have played this course 3 times now and every time we have had to wait for buggies. (this is one course you could walk).

Saying that, it is worth a visit but dont expect to sit down and eat or drink at the end of the round if its busy.

We played the Santana Golf Course on the Costa Del Sol for the first time this year (2005). Although this course is rated as the 11th best course in Europe, it was rather disappointing. The clubhouse is one of the most basic of any of the courses we have played in Spain (and we have played a few !!). The course was good, but not challenging enough for us. The biggest downside was the cost. We won't be playing this course again. If you really want your moneys worth, play all 3 courses at LA CALA.
