Buckinghamshire Golf Club, Buckinghamshire

It is situated in a wonderful village. Very nasty welcome in July 2008 under, apparently, new management. It used to be nice, this year we protested by mail but never received an answer. We are French and we like English golf clubs but this one gave us a very unfavourable impression: my 15-year-old son was very impolitely forbidden to play because he did not have the proper shoes, we had the impression that it was a particularly serious offence; we would have understood if it had been said nicely, we felt humiliated and after this incident we talked to some people who used to play at the Oakland golf club (Chalfont St Giles) and said they did not want to go any more because of the arrogance of the 'welcome' ! We would have liked to say we were happy to play there but we were so rudely 'welcome ' that we would not stay in the future!
