I Stayed At The Oaks Seaforth Resort For A Month D
I stayed at the Oaks Seaforth Resort for a month during Oct/Nov with my wife. I would go back tomorrow. A lovely big apartment with a large balcony, a well equipped kitchen, a quiet location, all helped to make a memorable holiday. The reception staff are well informed and especially helpful when booking trips etc. The apartments are within walking distance of Mooloolaba and Maroochydore, which is just as well, as Alex surf club can be a bit of a let-down at night. If Alex wasn't there it would be pretty sparse drink-wise. The Seaforth is only yards from the beach and is a very pleasant stroll from one resort to the other. Car hire from just down the road was very reasonable and is an absolute must in this area, although buses to the shopping Plaza run every few minutes. A word of warning, anyone thinking they can just nip down the road to Brisbane should think again. Without a car the journey is far from simple, it's a nightmare and means having to get a train from Nambour, which terminates somewhere down the track, leaving passengers to get on a bus for the rest of the journey. It's only 50 miles but takes about two hours. Going by car is quicker but the roads are not that good in places. All in all however, it was a really good experience and I would recommend the Oaks Seaforth to everyone.
