Margarita Island, Dunes Hotel and Beach Resort

I have never been as happy as I was in Dunes :) ok there were mosquitoes, I ate spaghetti all weak, but the animators were so nice with me, because "I" was very nice with them, they were very happy to see me every morning, because I was participating to the dance lesson, I always greet them, I made friend with all the animators there, they liked me :) I have met some of the night entertainment dancing girls, I danced with them at the disco and now I have their emails, I chat with them and they appreciate me, they call me "lindo" which mean kind and nice and affectionate ^^ I'm so happy, I went there 2 times, and I would go there three times a year ^^ maybe more ^^ I miss those girls :) I miss the animators, and I miss the feeling of being so happy to be alive like this :) Whoever say that the animators aren't nice , and that the day animation is bad, it's because nobody participate with them, and they are VERY nice :)

**please be prepared to queue at least 3 hours at the airport! I must say that Isla Margarita is one of the most wonderfull place I've ever been. I must admit that the food was very good- best food I've ever eat in a trip. The beach is nothing but wonderful, very clean. It is a public beach but we never got disturb by sellers. The guy who took care of us was very funny. We also did an awesome Safari trip. All my good comments are going to the country itself since landscape are....amazing, wonderfull and fantastic!!

We did enjoy our stay at the Dunes the staff are friendly but sometimes over friendly pushing for a tip all the time, the meals are good but do get repetitive after a while, the transfer from the airport goes through some poor areas which we felt guilty about, I would strongly recommend that you book tours through your travel company it might be more expensive but you are guaranteed family security.

Having just returned from 2 weeks at the Margarita Dunes resort I feel I must comment on the excellent facilites provided by this up and coming resort. Part of Venezuala it is not a recognised Caribbean island but infact is the southern most of the regions islands. Just of the Venezualan coast it is developing and although lacking in facilities away from the hotel still provided a relaxing holiday. The entertainment facilities are good with a good selection of trips out. Food was good and accomodation adequate if not luxurious.
