We Have Been To St Lucia On Several Occasions, Gor
We have been to St Lucia on several occasions, gorgeous place. We decided to go for New Year 2004.We usually stay at Rex St Lucian, and felt it had gone downhill and shabby over the years. We stayed at Ginger Lily for three weeks. The rooms are very big and airy, with a sofa, lounge area, before leading onto a balcony with its own hammock, nice feature. The bathroom was a nice size with his and hers sinks and a large built in shower, plenty of room for two!!! or more. It's a small homely kind of atmosphere, with really friendly staff who are more than willing to tend to your every need. The restaurant and bar area was small, but we had a lovely breakfast there every morning, but ate out in the evenings as there are so many restaurants to choose from within walking distance to the hotel. There was a coffee maker and a kettle in the room, with tea and coffee being topped up every morning. There's a fridge, sink area and an iron and ironing board. A lovely pool area, with garden being kept immaculate, and tended to every day. The bed was really comfortable, air conditioning made a huge difference to your comfort whilst in your room. There are only eleven rooms here, so it's really peaceful at night. The only bad thing about the place was the dogs next door did bark a lot and often woke us early in the morning, you could here them from your room. If you're looking for a relaxing time, with a beautiful beach and excellent restaurants only a minutes walk away then I'm sure you'd love it here, we'll definitely be going back.
