Las Vegas, The Orleans Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

I've been to Las Vegas twice now and just love it.

The second time I stayed at the The Orleans Hotel & Casino as it was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed.

Las Vegas has a main strip along which most of the hotels are based and where most of the action takes place. The Orleans Hotel & Casino however is a couple of miles away from it. This would usually be a problem as you'd need to get a taxi or bus every day and the cost would soon rack up. The hotel addresses this by providing a free shuttle bus service to its other hotels, one of which is the Barbary Coast and is situated smack bang in the middle of the strip.

The advantage of being off strip is that you pay a fair bit less for your room making your holiday cheaper.

The only bad thing about waiting for the shuttle bus is that if you just miss it you'll have to wait a good 15 minutes for the next one, and Las Vegas gets hot!

The hotel is massive and they were building more rooms whilst I was there.

The rooms themselves are very large. Mine had two super size double beds in it and there was still plenty of space for a seating area and bathroom.

The on site facilities are excellent. There are some 12 places to eat, a multi screen cinema, 70 lane bowling ally, swimming pool, spa centre and much more.

If you want to save on the room charges and don't mind taking a short bus ride to the action then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
