Island of Oahu, Honolulu, Hale Koa Hotel

We loved the nights. We walked out to the beach, through a park-like setting and watched fireworks over the water, which are done often (check schedule) though it wasn't the 4th of July. Then, we walked down the beach to other hotels, lounges and shopping complexes that were open late into the evening. There were lots of people out and the evenings were beautiful (mid-June). The hotel is surrounded with beautiful park-like grounds and trees dripping with fragrant flowers. very romantic, though right in the heart of Honolulu.

Don't miss going next door to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and shopping complex for wonderful little restaurants and boutiques. Great tours avail. @ Hale Koa, such as to the Arizona Memorial.
