Violence Risk!
Owner's son threatened me with violence, screaming and swearing at me for questioning a $5 charge for a complimentary breakfast which I ate at dinner time. I had 4 witnesses and almost called the police. I also mentioned the room smelled of mold and cow excrement stench every time I opened the window to get out the mold smell. The cows were a few meters from my bed where they slept in the cow pen filled with cow poop. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, and no cold water pressure, and my last day no water at all. The woman owner was lovely and went out of her way to be of service as did the other brother who was gracious and kind. They were gone on my check out morning and I was left with a violent madman who had NO PROFESSIONALISM, NO COMMUNICATION SKILLS, AND SWORE AT ME AS AN AMERICAN. HE SAID HE WOULD LOCK THE GATE , LOCKING ME IN AND BEAT ME. Horrible experience....and I PAID MORE THAN FRIENDS WHO HAD BOOKED A NICE HOTEL IN TECPAN that had hot water in the bathroom sink and had water pressure and no disgusting smells.
All the rooms were like farm workers quarters.....they all border the cow pen and they milk at 4:30 AM. The families excuse was that it is a "working farm”....well I have stayed at farms, that had no mold, real hot water, water pressure, , and where the guest rooms were at least decent and away from the smells of decaying cow excrement. The rooms are dank and smelly. They seemed to think everyone would understand what a working farm meant, but it was worse than any country farm I have ever stayed in Peru or Ecuador, in Europe or Japan .
