Icmeler Is A Beautiful And Friendly Destination An

Icmeler is a beautiful and friendly destination and we have been holidaying there over the past ten years. Newport Appartments ruined the holiday and we would not recommend them to anyone.The apartments were dirty and not cleaned for the whole duration of our holiday - 2weeks!

They were supposed to be self catering but the facilities are non existent (we had a 2ring electric cooker, a frying pan a milk pan and one serving spoon) the fridge has no ice box. The taps/shower dont work properly and the toilets are disgustingly dirty and are very temperamental.

Our room had been flooded at some point and so there was a tide mark around the fittings and on the pull out bed. There is no info on using the phones and no fire proceedures.

We had to demand that outside lighting was turned on after dark as the hallways are pitch black. Noise from other guests goes ignored and to be fair the staff make more noise than the guests! The laundry is in the loft so the washing machine on spin cycle does the Pasa Doble across the ceiling of the apt below. On arrival we were put in a room so small that if you slept on the pull out you had to rest your feet on the fridge! The toilet didnt work and we had no electricity!

Staff was almost non existent and what there was spoke very little English. The only one that did was rude and abrupt.

The home web site is very misleading as it states that it is a 14 minutes walk to the beach. 20/25 if you know the short cuts! They are not appropriate for families as there is very little space and almost no facilities and as I said it is a long way from the beach. The "Park" opposite is used by local youths and adults alike who leave it looking like a rubbish dump.

The staff around on the evening we left didnt even know we were going and so we were left to our own devices. Talk about a lack of Customer Services!

I recommend this hotel for: Young singles, An amazing honeymoon, A romantic getaway, Girlfriend getaway, People with disabilities, Older travelers, Great pool scene, Families with young children, Families with teenagers, Tourists.

I do not recommend this hotel for: Pet owners.

I selected this hotel because... Beach / Sun, Outdoor / Adventure, Great food / Wine, Shopping, Spa, Sporting event, Concerts / Music festival.

My visit was for: Quality time with family .

I stayed at Newport in July 2000. My family and I wanted to go to I meler this year again. I called the hotel and got very good rate for a month. My wife, my son and I had enjoyed our stay in June 2007. It is very clean, well maintained hotel. People are very friendly. Girl at reception desk is so friendly. She explained what we could do, gave us some idea. It is not a five-start hotel but it is very clean apartment with unbeatable price.

We Had Heard And Read A Lot Of Bad Reports About T

We had heard and read a lot of bad reports about the Newport apartments, we were very wary about going, even though I must say I would not have been happy if we were put in one of the basement rooms. A lot of guests did complain about these rooms. But what we fail to see is if you go to a poor country you will get basic accommodation (we Brits seem to expect 1st class for peanuts). We were very pleased with the room and the staff. Went with Goldtrail (never again) the staff were ignorant to the point of being quite rude, just concerned in selling the trips. We went to a shop to book and pay for our trips which were cheaper with good service and even had a trip thrown in for free. We will go again and would stay at the Newport, but it wont be with Goldtrail.
