Don't Be Fooled By The Gleaming Marble Entrance Lo

Don't be fooled by the gleaming marble entrance lobby of this supposed four star hotel. Because thats where any semblance of any star rating ends. The interior of this hotel was in places very shabby. Our room was nowhere near of a quality which I would have expected. The shower curtain was not long enough to reach the shower tray thus soaking the floor everytime we used the shower. The ceiling dripped water from the room above. There is only so much scrambled eggs and hard-boiled eggs I can eat. The same old salads, olives, desserts and meat stew was wheeled out every mealtime. Luckily Macdonalds was just over the road. For all-inclusive we felt like second class citizens. The drinks choices for all inclusive guests was very limited and served in small plastic cups, you needed at least four of these to make a pint. The list could go on but I'll leave it there for now. I will not be returning to this hotel....ever..

The Bar At The Front (nothing To Do With The Hotel

The bar at the front (nothing to do with the hotel Blue Bays), was excellent, staff great with kids very friendly helpful. Got my baby a cup of tea and my 3 year old cooked pasta in the kitchen for the next day! I feel totally ripped off from this holiday and will be telling Thomas Cook what I think of this hotel. All inclusive isn't what it seems. Kids for a start, the cola sprite and fanta on offer was in my experience mixed to the right quantity and tasted foul. Ice cream only for kids was served for half hour a day. Food in restaurant was like a peter kay buffet with the salads cold chips everytime they were on. Staff shockingly rude and unhelpful. I was turned away from getting my baby a drink of tea at 11.15. I went to this hotel 5 years ago self catering and it was great. Marmaris is the best place ever its a shame hotels like this are letting the place down.

Food At The Blue Bays Hotel Was Not Good. I Know T

Food at the Blue Bays Hotel was not good. I know that they had to cater for a few different nationalities however on one occasion our evening meal consisted of a choice of Turkey, fish, rice, spaghetti and sproats and yes I have not mis spelt sproats. There was always a lovely array of salads and desserts but even we wanted a meal that resembled some kind of organisation, there was only ever one choice for children. Breakfast always consisted of cereal, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omlette, beans and some kind of pastry. We booked half board and only ended up eating 5 times for breakfast and 3 times for evening meals. We had to eat out on all the other occasions. The best we found was a Welsh run bar and resturant called La Vie opposite the hotel and what a breakfast, full English with Tesco back bacon and sausage, 2 eggs, 2 toast all for £1.50 and the evening meals were also very good I would recommend La Vie to anyone so come on Blue Bays. If small places can offer that kind of quality food then you can too. There is only so much eggs a personal can eat in 14 days or is that the reason for the sproats!!
