This Was The Second Time We Had Stayed At The Hote
This was the second time we had stayed at the Hotel Navy (previous July 2007). We got a last minute deal on the internet giving us 2 weeks B&B from Doncaster airport including transfers for £325. The hotel is commonly described as "basic" but I would say at least "basic+". The place is showing signs of aging and could do with a refurb but my wife and I found our room clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Storage space is very limited - a medium sized old wardrobe, a small dressing table and a single bedside cabinet but we managed. The single beds were very comfortable. We had a frequent change of bed linen and towels from very pleasant and efficient cleaning staff. The hotel staff in general are very pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast is basic traditional Turkish but is generously provided with meats, cheeses, salad. You can also get eggs (omelettes, fried, boiled, scrambled . . .) from the "egg man" who has been stood there for years serving up eggs with a smile.
The swimming pool is small with very few sunbeds, depth of the pool varies from 1.5 to 1.6 metres and there is a small toddlers' pool.
The hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of town just a hundred yards from the excellent Icmeler beach.
At £315 for 2 weeks B&B it was an excellent no frills enjoyable deal and we would certainly go back for a third time.
