Istanbul Sultanahmetsuites Is A Long Distance And
Istanbul Sultanahmetsuites is a long distance and a big hill from Sultanahmet, location is hard to find and pretty scary. There is no lift, no bellboy. Only stairs. No daily cleaning of rooms, including the toilets. It seems that everything breaks down. Heaters, television, internet, you name it and not mended. No view from the room just neighbors' apartment windows. Not very nice owner.

I Fully Agree With The Comments Made By 'oldbanker
I fully agree with the comments made by 'oldbanker'.
Our family of 4 stayed at this hotel for 10 days. We thought our apartment was clean, very comfortable and well equipped (though we could have done with an extra saucepan!)
The location was great it is certainly in a tiny street with lots of steep streets nearby, but that is what Istanbul is like.
The hotel staff were very helpful. We were taken around the nearby streets to show us local shops where to buy bread, pastries and vegetables. Tickets for the soccer were booked for us.
We did not have any concerns about our security in the apartment or in the nearby streets. We understood that this was an apartment we were renting and would not have expected to have staff on site at night, although we knew we could call them should that have been needed.
We enjoyed our time in Istanbul and would happily recommend this apartment to others.

Except For The Comment About The Elevator, I Would
Except for the comment about the elevator, I would have a hard time disagreeing more with the first reviewers opinion. My wife and I found this tiny apartment hotel perfect for a few days in Istanbul. The managers were both very friendly and helpful and the neighbourhood was a delight to shop for our daily provisions. It was also very well priced. My only cautions would be that you shouldn't stay here if you want a full service hotel with pool, room service etc and that since there is no lift, you must be able to climb stairs. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place to stay in old Istanbul.
I disagree with what this person is saying. The owner and his wife were rude to us. They may be nice to some people, but definitely not to us. We had a big problem as they shouted at us.

First Of All I Strongly Recommend You Do Not Go To
First of all I strongly recommend you do NOT go to Sultanahmet Suites. They call themselves ?a 4-star hotel?, but it's certainly not the case. They are far from what a 4 star hotel should be. This is only a 4-room apartment building. Staff was nonexistent. I just found the owner, who showed up sometimes during the day, and a part-time cleaning lady. At night, there is absolutely nobody to take care of the guests. There is no bell boy. So, you need to carry your own luggage and go up narrow stairs up to 5th floor. It offers no service except for cleaning. No front-desk, no lobby, no common area like a terrace to hang around, no breakfast, no room service, no housekeeping, no telephone or a desk in the room, no gym, no garden, nothing. You name it. There is no other facility than the room, and, without any staff, there is absolutely no service offered here. In conclusion, they deserve no star. But, even so, I think all the guests should be respected and treated as valuable guests. I have visited a lot of countries, and stayed at lots of hotels and hostels. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I do not recommend!!
I disagree, we found it to be completely different! It was a very nice little apartment (not a full service hotel) that was very comfortable, clean and well priced. The owners were quite friendly and helpful and the rooms were nicer than most much more expensive hotels. I think most people would be quite happy there.
I Chose Sultanahmetsuites Because I Had Read Glowi
I chose Sultanahmetsuites because I had read glowing reviews on a travel site, but this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. This hotel has NO staff, only the owner, and is empty most of the time. The lobby area was dark and tiny. You need to climb a steep hill to go anywhere, including Sultanahmet and Topkapi. Kitchen not fully equipped. No elevator to go up to 5th floor. No telephone in the room. No bathtub. Wifi did not work the entire week. No service at all. This hotel has very bad service and attitude. I would not waste my money here. There are better hotels around!
I agree with this review because the owner and his wife of Sultanahmetsuites are probably not the kind of people we want to deal with. They owe denizlove a long overdue apology. Otherwise, it is too scary to even think about this apart. Also, the owner's wife should stop writing all over the web. Her ongoing stupid behaviour has a very negative and possibly fatal impact on the image and the reputation of her already controversial and notorious apart. She should learn from past mistakes and try to correct her and her husband's bad attitudes.
