I've Stayed In The Divan Hotel A Few Times, And I

I've stayed in the Divan Hotel a few times, and I keep going back because I'm pretty much in love with it. The hotel offers a lot of services like an in-house coiffeure, pattiseur, Japanese and Turkish restaurant, pub, exclusive shops, ball room etc. Anything you need is just a phone call away. The staff provides you with just about anything you need. You name it, they got it (I remember calling for a phone charger and a package of cigarettes at 4 am, and having it within 5 minutes on a silver platter). Excellent service is provided 24/7 and the they have thought every little detail to please the guests. Everyday a member of the staff comes to turn your sheets, clean the room, fill the bar etc. Another nice touch is the daily weather forcast along with the Turkish delights you'll find waiting in your room.

The rooms are really spacious. Especially the ones on the top (8th) floor. The second I walked into one I was amazed: LARGE, beautiful and surrounded by a huge balcony- ideal for having your breakfast.

The Divan Hotel is located in Taksim/Nisantasi; which is a great area for shopping and wondering around. Everything you need is in reach. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get there by cab from the Atat rk Airport.

To me, unlike the other known hotels in the area (Ceylan Intercontinental, Hyatt Regency, Ritz Carlton etc.) the Divan Hotel offers a more "homey" kind of feeling. I'm not considering any other hotel for my visits to Istanbul; the Divan hotel is my home away from home. I can highly recommend this hotel to everybody!
