Siesta Apartments

The staff were on the go all hours, took great pride in their work. As well as look after holidaymakers good luck to all thanks. For a great holiday see you next year, that will be our 7th year at siesta.

We have been going to Siesta Beach apartments for the last 7 years, and we go for 2 weeks in July, and 1 week in October every year. The best holidays ever and we would never go any where else, staff are fantastic.

We have no bad comments what-so-ever about the hotel, even the cleaners know us now and they are very friendly too, and everybody is always pleased to see us back again - it is like our second home.

We would recommend everybody to try this hotel as they will never want to go anywhere else once they have been there.

Overall, we had a great holiday again. Having been to just about every resort in Spain, Portugal, Canaries and Florida, I have to say I am hooked on Turkey. The people are about the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever met. A big thank you to the people who own the Calypso restaurant, which is only a minutes walk from the Siesta. Meals were very cheap and very tasty, real homemade fries and freshly cooked vegetables along with real bacon and sausages, and very friendly staff, who drew us back there every day. A play park with its very own bouncy castle kept the kids entertained for hours, meaning that we could relax after a tasty feast at the Calypso whilst the kids had fun.

Gumbet was particularly good for water sports. Anything from pedalos, banana boat rides or even jet skis were available, all at very reasonable prices. Boat trips are great value for money too. An excursion to Camel Island, with all your food thrown in and 4 different stop offs can cost around £8.00 a head for an adult, and the kids are given a discounted price (some even free).

Turkey has some amazing bargains. Unfortunately for us, we overspent again and had to buy another suitcase to bring all our fake designer gear home in!

Lacoste, Nike and Adidas tracksuits cost around £10.00. £15.00 for designer jeans (they will even hem them for you at no extra cost). T shirts can be bought for as little as £10.00 for 5. Do take some English notes with you, as every shop is more than happy to accept them, and you get a better deal with them.

For those of you who are a bit dubious of holidaying in Turkey, don't knock it until you've tried it. There was no-one more against visiting Turkey than I was. It was only by chance that I ended up there last year, and having been twice now, I will make Turkey my main holiday destination every year from now on. I personally found it to be much cleaner than Spain and the likes, and the people are more welcoming, and kids are well catered for.

The Siesta Beach Apartments are probably one of the best apartment complexes in Gumbet. The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable, and the staff can't do enough for you. They are set right on the beach, and are the last apartments to be found on the bay. They are extremely quiet, and it is only around a 7 to 10 minute walk to the main biz of the resort!

The Gumbet Siesta Apartments in Turkey were excellent in every way. Highly recommended!!
